The Disguised Billionaire She Rejected novel Chapter 32

Chapter 32

Julia was totally confused. “The Director has always been treating Jordan specially, but now he just expelled him and even apologized to you. What the fuck happened, Marcus?”

Marcus scoffed lightly. “Maybe he was also tired of his bad attitude.”

Julia nodded slowly. “Yes. That makes sense. He must have stepped on his nerves and that made Mr. Vincent really upset. That is the only logical explanation.”

Marcus nodded. “Yes, that must be it.”

But what truly happened was different. Marcus had foreseen something like this might happen after the banquet incident, That Jordan might try to get back at him after the banquet incident. So he met Mr. Vincent and revealed who he really was. Mr. Vincent was shocked, because even the Mr. Fisher was nothing compared to anyone from the Langstone family.

In fact, Marcus gave three times the amount what Mr. Fisher gave to the school for sponsors. He told the Director to deal with Jordan properly whenever he acted out again. He even made it clear that if Jordan crossed the line again, the school should not hesitate to act immediately regardless of his family

connections.

He also made Mr. Vincent promise to keep his identity secret and never reveal him to anyone. That was what happened. When Mr. Vincent saw Marcus earlier, he simply played along.

Julia exhaled slowly. “I hope Mr. Vincent will be okay. Because Mr. Fisher will really deal with him if he finds out.” She rubbed her arm slightly still processing everything that had just unfolded in the office.

Marcus scoffed. “He will be okay.”

Julia nodded. “I hope so.” Julia smiled faintly despite herself.

Then she added, her voice softening. “Oh, I want to tell you, we are having a get together dinner today with our past classmates. We are all partying. Will you come?”

Marcus sighed. He remembered how they all started the course together. He had not graduated with them after choosing to stay back because of Jessica, even when she made sure she finished school and moved on, Marcus dropped out.

He looked at Julia, “I don’t think I will fit in, i didn’t graduate with you guys!”.

Julia scoffed. “Come on, Marcus. You were our course mate, nothing is wrong with it.” She leaned closer. “In fact, Wilson is coming too.”

Marcus frowned. “Wilson?”.

Julia nodded. “Yeah, the same Wilson. He didn’t even graduate, he was expelled.” She lowered her voice.

Wilson was one of thier course mate, back then he was a thug, always bullying fellow student. It got worse when he beat one of the teachers so badly the man almost died. He ended up in juvenile prison

Marcus hesitated, he wanted to refuse going before, but then he remembered Wilson’s reputation and the way he looked at Julia then, he had eye for her. If julia attended alone without partner, Wilson might do something bad.

To protect her, he exhaled. “Alright, let’s go together.”

Julia smiled softly. “Okay, yeah.”

[Evening]

Marcus and Julia arrived at Velvez Bar and paused side by side at the entrance. Music thumped faintly from inside. Laughter spilled through the glass doors. Julia adjusted her dress and smiled at him.

They were about to step in when a voice came from behind.

“Really???”

Marcus recognized the voice at once. His jaw tightened. He did not want to turn, but Julia already had.

It was Jessica.

Beside her, ofcourse, stood Travis.

Julia’s face lit up with polite surprise. “Wow, it’s you, Jessica. Long time.” She stepped forward and stretched out her hand warmly.

Jessica looked at the hand as if it were something dirty. She did not take it. Julia slowly withdrew it.

Jessica scoffed. “Just some weeks ago you were with Ms. Natalie, now you are with Julia? Is this the life you want to be living, Marcus?”

Travis chuckled. “Ms. Natalie probably only used him for public appearance. A woman like that would never be with a guy like him. Now he’s with another lady he wants to scam.”

Marcus exhaled sharply. “Why can’t you both just shut up and go your way?” He faced Jessica. “Must you always talk whenever we meet?”

Jessica folded her arms. “Out of everyone, you are with Julia? This ordinary girl?”

Jessica and Julia had been rivals from the beginning. Back in school Jessica was the loud popular girl everyone noticed. Julia was the quiet beautiful one who topped every class. People admired both of them and Jessica had always treated it like a competition. Now Jessica was doing better in life and she carried that like a trophy.

She tilted her head. “Look, Marcus. You can still come back. Just apologize and we will talk things off. Stop leeching yourself to women.” She glanced at Julia with open disgust. “Someone ordinary like her, what does she even have to offer you?”

Julia’s expression hardened. “That’s offensive. And it shows why Marcus really left you. He made a good

decision.”

Jessica’s eyes flashed. “What happened between us is none of your business! We were just on a break and we will get back together. So stop being a whore to him.”

“Hey, Jessica. That’s enough,” Marcus said coldly. “There is nothing between us again. It’s over. Whether it’s Natalie or Julia, I can be with any woman I want as long as it isn’t you.”

Jessica laughed dryly. “Do you even know what you want in life? Thats the reason you will always be traped as a poor man”

Marcus sighed. “Here we go again, always brokeshamming me, and you want us to still be together?”

“I am just only telling you the truth. I know it will be painful, without me, you will be nothing!”

Jessica looked at Julia. “And you, don’t think you’re special. He will just use you as fling and throw you

away.”

Julia suddenly leaned in and kissed Marcus on the cheek.

“I don’t care if he is with ten different women as long as I am among them. I don’t care. Even if i am a

fling”

“You are just a whore!!!” Jessica snapped.

Julia stepped forward. “Call me that once again and I swear I will rip your mouth off.”

Marcus added quietly, “At least she isn’t sleeping with her sister’s brother.”

Jessica frowned. “What the heck are you saying?”

Marcus shrugged. “Figure it out.”

Jessica’s face reddened with anger. “You have a dirty mind. You are shameless. What are you even doing here? You didn’t even graduate.”

Julia folded her arms. “Even Wilson will be here. He didn’t graduate either.”
