Meanwhile, on their way home, Damien and Julia were still shaken by everything that had happened.
Damien was the first to speak. “Man… what happened back there? You paid over eight hundred thousand dollars for food. And how were you able to beat seven men with knives like that?”
Marcus kept his eyes forward as they walked. He would have told them the truth about himself if not for the incident involving his father and the ongoing investigation. He needed to stay hidden until it was over.
“I was gifted the black card,” Marcus said calmly.
Julia frowned. “Gifted? By who?”
Damien snapped his fingers. “The Richard firm again. They represented you during that stealing case. He gave you the black card, right? You must have done something life-saving for him to be doing all that for you.”
Marcus nodded slightly. “Yes. It’s him.”
Julia sighed. “That still doesn’t explain why you would spend eight hundred thousand just to make a point. That’s a waste.”
To julia, that money was very much.
They continued walking in silence for a while.
Suddenly Damien’s phone rang. He checked it and his expression changed. “I have something urgent to handle.” He looked at Marcus. “Be careful. Wilson is a very dangerous man.”
Marcus scoffed lightly.
As soon as Damien left, Julia turned to Marcus as if she wanted to ask something.
Before she could speak, a car pulled up beside them. The tinted glass slid down and a well-dressed older man in the passenger seat leaned slightly forward with a smile.
“Hmm. Julia. What are you doing here all alone?”
Julia immediately looked uncomfortable. “I’m not alone. I’m with my friend.”
The man glanced at Marcus with visible disgust. “This man? Who is he?”
“My friend,” Julia repeated.
“It’s already night. Get in. Let me escort you home.”
“No, I’m okay. My friend will-”
“Come in, Julia.” His voice turned firm.
Julia turned to Marcus. “Please, I have to go.”

Marcus sensed something was wrong and held her hand. “You don’t have to go if you don’t want to. Who the hell is he?”
Julia forced a small smile. “He’s my uncle. He’s just worried about me.”
Hearing that, Marcus slowly let her hand go, though the uneasiness remained in his chest.
Julia entered the car, waved at Marcus, and said, “We will meet tomorrow.”
The car zoomed away.
Marcus stood there watching until it disappeared from sight.
Meanwhile, his mind went straight to Wilson. He remembered the hyena tattoo.
So he made his way home to meet with Natalie.
Meanwhile, back at the bar, almost everyone had left. Only Jessica and Travis remained.
Jessica sat quietly, her mind racing over everything that had happened.
“Wilson is going to kill him,” she said softly. “He just called for over two hundred gang members because of Marcus. There is no way Marcus survives that.”
Travis sounded irritated. “This is none of your business. He brought this on himself. Let’s just leave,
Jessica.”
She shook her head. “How did he even get that black card? I’m worried he has gotten himself into something bad. I can’t wrap my head around how the same Marcus could do all that.”
Just then, someone rushed into the bar shouting.
“My card! My ATM card! Did anyone see it?”
Travis frowned. “You lost your card?”
The lady nodded quickly. “Yes. I came here with it.”
Travis turned to Jessica with widened eyes. “I told you. Marcus stole that card. It was recently stolen that’s why it wasn’t blocked yet.”
The lady said, “You know who took it?”
Travis nodded. “Yes. It’s a black card, right?”
The lady frowned slightly. “N-“. she was about to said No!.
But Travis didn’t let her finish. “I swear I know who took it.”
“The lady frowned, “Really. who please…”.
Travis was about to mention name.

At that moment, the lady’s phone rang. She answered quickly. “Really? Okay, I’m coming.”
She rushed out of the bar without another word.
Travis exhaled sharply. “You see? Marcus is getting worse every day. We should report him.”
Jessica sighed and brushed her hair back. “No. Don’t. I will talk to him.”
“I don’t understand why you are still protecting him,” Travis said.
They picked their things and walked out.
Outside, Jessica stopped. “Go home. I will meet you there.”
Travis frowned. “Where are you going?”
“I will call Wilson and offer him some money so he won’t harm Marcus.”
Travis stared at her. “This is none of your business, Jessica. Stop already. Wilson is dangerous. Why are you going this far for that ordinary thief?”
Jessica replied firmly, “I will deal with it. Wilson loves money. I will offer him that. And about the card, we
still don’t know if Marcus stole it.”
Travis shook his head. “Always defending him.’
“Go home. I will meet you there,” Jessica said.
She stepped aside and pulled out her phone.
She had Wilson’s number. She dialed it.
