The Disguised Billionaire She Rejected novel Chapter 61

Chapter 61

The slap resounded all over the receptionist area as everyone turned toward them.

The boy was on the floor, crying, while Jessica was frantically trying to get the coffee stain off her dress Travis helped her with his handkerchief.

Julia was shocked by how hard Jessica had hit the boy and rushed to him. The boy had hit the floor so hard that he hurt his ankle, which was now bleeding.

“Yaa… yaaa… yaaa, my hand, my cheek!” the boy cried out.

Julia scooped him into her arms. “Are you okay? Oh… sorry, sorry.”

Julia then angrily stood up and faced Jessica. “How can you be so cruel? How can you slap a kid like

that?”

Jessica scoffed, still trying to wipe the stain off her dress. “I can smack him more if I get any angrier. Look at what he did to my dress! Do you know how much I bought it for? And do you know how hard I tried today to impress the CEO? What impression do you think she’ll get if she sees my dress with a stain?”

Julia couldn’t believe her ears. “First of all, the kid made a mistake, yeah, but he didn’t do it intentionally. Also, a stained dress has nothing to do with the CEO’s impression. You think you’ll lose the deal just because of a kid’s mistake, so you slap him that hard?”

Jessica nodded, feeling irritated. “What did I expect from a bum and pathetic person like you? You know nothing about classy and rich people. You don’t know how they think, because you’re just a trashy girl from a struggling family, right from childhood!”

Marcus chimed in, “Don’t you think you’re crossing the line right now? The kid made a mistake, but that doesn’t warrant that slap! Also, mind what you say to Julia.”

Jessica shot back, “Why are you blaming me when I’m the victim here? Look at my dress!”

Marcus scoffed and shook his head. “I can’t believe you can be this horrible. If your only concern is your dress, I’m going to pay for it. Apologize to the little boy right now. I understand maybe you were angry and did it in the heat of the moment, but apologize to him now.”

Jessica twitched her lips. “This dress costs $50,000. What are you going to do? Steal money as usual to pay for it, or use the black card you stole? No, I don’t need your money, and no, I’m not going to apologize!”

Marcus said, “You won’t apologize for making a kid bleed?”

Then Jessica turned to the boy. “Hey, poor kid. Where is your mother? I blame her. She was supposed to put a leash on you. This is the issue with giving birth in poverty-you won’t be able to take care of them. Blame your pathetic, poor, useless mother for this. She couldn’t even take care of her own child!”

Jessica had already scanned the boy’s clothes, and by the look of them, she could tell they were dirty

and cheap, so she used that to insult him.

Julia’s face burned with rage. She stepped forward, voice sharp and trembling with fury. “How dare you speak to a child like that? Why would you say such cruel things to a kid? Calling his mother useless and poor? Have you no shame at all? He’s a child, not your punching bag!”

The boy, still sniffling in Julia’s arms, suddenly cried out louder, tears streaming down his face. “My mommy isn’t poor! My mommy isn’t poor!”

Jessica laughed coldly. “I know that, you denial kid. She is poor. Accept it. And next time, don’t bump into someone important like me. Maybe then you won’t get what you deserve.”

Travis, who had been quietly wiping Jessica’s dress, finally chimed in with a sneer. “Kids like this are always causing trouble. Running around like wild animals with no home training. You two are making a big deal out of nothing. The boy ruined her dress and now you’re acting like Jessica committed a crime.

Pathetic.”

Marcus glared at Travis. “You’re no better, supporting this kind of abuse. Both of you should be ashamed.”

Jessica rolled her eyes dramatically and grabbed Travis’s hand. “Let’s just go, babe. We don’t want to be late for our schedule. These people are just holding us down.”

With that, she pulled Travis away. The two of them walked off without a backward glance.

Julia stood frozen, unable to believe what had just happened. The sheer arrogance and heartlessness left her speechless.

“My hand is paining me…” the boy whimpered again, clutching his wrist.

Julia quickly crouched down. “Come on, sweetheart. Let’s get you treated at the pharmacy.” She tried to help him stand, but Marcus gently moved her aside.

“I’ve got him,” he said softly. He scooped the boy into his strong arms and carried him toward a small clinic just outside the area. After a quick examination, the doctor confirmed a minor sprain and a small cut on the ankle. Marcus paid for the treatment, bandages, and pain relief without hesitation.

Once the boy was patched up, Marcus set him down carefully and looked at him with gentle eyes. “You shouldn’t be running around like that again, okay? It’s easy to get hurt.”

The boy nodded, his voice small and cute. “I’m sorry, sir.”

Marcus smiled. “Where is your mother? We should take you to her.”

The boy turned and pointed toward the tall Cornwall building “She works here.”
