Chapter 65
Jessica was in her room all day. She was slowly drifting into depression. First, she had lost Marcus-the man she was still very much in love with. She had foolishly thought he would remain single until she was ready to take him back. But instead, he was already moving on, dating other women.
The last straw was the lucrative contract she lost yesterday. She had invested a lot of money into securing connections and making everything perfect, only to lose it all because of her own bad behavior
To make matters worse, Elena had publicly vowed to take revenge on her. With her company already deteriorating, any additional trouble from Elena would be the final blow.
She was still lying in bed when Mrs. Morgan stormed into the room.
“You’ve been in here all morning! What exactly do you think you’re doing? Do you want to ruin yourself?” she snapped.
Jessica said nothing.
“Look, if you’re doing this because of Marcus, then you’re nothing but a fool. I don’t understand what you see in that lowlife, dirty excuse of a man!”
Mrs. Morgan paused, then continued, “But if you’re sulking because of the contract you lost, then I have
a solution.”
Hearing that, Jessica immediately jolted upright. “Really, Mom? Did you find another contract? Or a way to beg Elena?”
Mrs. Morgan sat beside her daughter and pulled out an elegant ELITE ticket.
“Look, I managed to get this for you. You know the ELITE party, right? The exclusive event where only people with at least thirty million dollars in assets can attend. I got you a ticket. You can go there, make powerful connections, and more importantly, meet a rich man who can change your life.”
Jessica sniffled. “How did you get this? I don’t have thirty million dollars in assets.”
“Just leave that part to me,” Mrs. Morgan replied. “So… you should go. It’s simple. And most importantly, make sure you get yourself a man. That’s the real reason you’re going. You have to bag a wealthy one!”
Jessica took the ticket. While her mother was focused on finding her a rich husband, Jessica’s only
intention was to make useful connections. This time, she decided not to bring Travis along because of his recent behavior. She would go alone.
Later that night, the ELITE party was in full swing at the luxurious ELITE Hotel.
True to its reputation, the venue was filled with successful, wealthy, and influential men. The grand exterior of the ELITE Hotel sparkled under the night sky like a palace of dreams.. Luxury cars-Rolls Royces, Lamborghinis, and sleek Ferraris-lined the driveway.

Julia arrived at the party, but she wasn’t alone. She had come with Marcus. She didn’t want to show up alone like her mother suggested.
Julia looked stunning as she stepped out of the car with Marcus. She wore a sexy, backless red evening gown that hugged her curves perfectly, with a daring thigh-high slit revealing her long, toned legs.
While Marcus, tall and handsome in a tailored black tuxedo that highlighted his broad shoulders and
athletic build.
They walked arm-in-arm toward the entrance, drawing admiring glances.
Just as they were about to step inside, a sharp voice cut through the air behind them.
“I knew it! I knew you would defy me!”
They turned to see Mrs. Elena storming toward them, her face twisted with anger. Her elegant black gown and heavy jewelry was bleaming just like her furious face.
“Mom, what are you doing here!” Julia exclaimed, astonished.
Mrs. Elena stopped in front of them, eyes blazing. “I asked you to come here alone, and you still brought this stupid fellow!”
“Mom, I told you-I’m already engaged to him. You can’t expect me to come to a place like this by myself,” Julia shot back, gripping Marcus’s hand tighter.
Marcus remained calm.
“You are here to get yourself a man!. and you bring this worthless man!”.
“I’m tired of you, let go marcus”, She held marcus hand, and made his way in.
Mrs. Elena immediately double cross them at the entrance and snapped at the gaurds. “Don’t let him in.”
Two burly bodyguards immediately blocked the entrance.
“Mom, what are you doing?” Julia protested.
“This lowlife rag doesn’t have any assets of his own,” Mrs. Elena declared loudly pointing at Marcus. “He should never enter. Moreover, he doesn’t even have a ticket.”
“But I have a ticket,” Julia argued, “and couples are allowed to enter with one. He is my fiancé!”
“No, he is not!” Mrs. Elena hissed.
Julia quickly showed them the elegant engagement ring on her finger. “Look at it.”
Just then, one of the bodyguards stepped forward with a smirk. “So who’s the one with the thirty million dollar assets between the two of you? Because I know it can never be you.”
Marcus frowned as he recognized the guard-Gerald, an old classmate from years ago. Gerald had always hated him, jealous because Marcus and Jessica had been in love.
