Chapter 111 Blind
Tracy suddenly laughed, a laugh dripping with sarcasm. “You’re really blind, aren’t you? Being led around by the nose by a woman. Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were sleeping with your stepsister.”
She truly couldn’t understand. Her brothers were clearly intelligent, so why did they always let Yvonne and her mother lead them by the nose?
But she didn’t care to understand anymore. Chandler, her brothers-they were all irrelevant to her now.
“Tracy!” Jared gritted his teeth, his voice rising several decibels. “What the hell are you talking about? How dare you slander me and Yvonne like that?”
“Your own conduct is disgraceful, and now you’re trying to ruin our partnership. Did you really think we can’t do anything about you?”
“Don’t forget, you’re a member of the Xander family too! If things go badly for us, how well do you think you’ll end up?”
He was truly furious this time. How dare Tracy slander his relationship with Yvonne like that? Damn her.
As a member of the Xander family, she was trying to undermine them at every turn. Tracy had really gone too far.
Tracy’s lips curled into a cold smile. She spoke slowly, “Have you ever once treated me like a member of the Xander family? Or do I need to spell it out for you? Chase has a ten percent stake in Xander Corp. Yvonne just joined, and you gave her five percent. Even Faye, a homemaker, has three percent. You’re the family Every one of you gets dividends.”
She paused, then continued, “And most of the money you make is spent on Yvonne. She does nothing and gets to live like a pampered princess. And me? I got nothing. My mother passed away right after I got into grad school. Tell me, did you help me with a single cent back then? And now you say I’m one of you? Don’t you think that’s laughable?”
They weren’t even there when her mother died. They only showed up for the funeral later. And even at the funeral, they still had that same arrogant, condescending attitude.
“They did offer to let me come back to the Xander family. But the condition was that I was not to ‘compete’ with Yvonne for anything. If I did, they would throw me out.”
Her heart was dead by then. She didn’t go back with them. And it was right at that time that Chandler proposed.
