Chapter 298 The Act
For some reason, Tracy felt like no compliment compared to Sean’s.
During lunch, Sean served her some food. “In the future, don’t just cook based on what I like. Focus on what you want.”
Tracy looked up into his deep, unreadable eyes. She opened her mouth to argue, but the words wouldn’t come. “Okay,” she finally muttered.
She went back to her meal. When they finished, Sean insisted on cleaning up while Tracy watched him. Even doing chores, he looked good especially his hands. Despite the mess, they were still elegant.
After he finished, Tracy was curled up on the sofa playing a game on her phone. Sean walked over, took the phone out of her hand, and set it aside. Then, he pulled her onto his lap.
Tracy tried to shift, but he held her firm. “Don’t move. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee I won’t lose control.”
Meanwhile, Natalie had been making some progress with Jackson. Her urge to share things with him was getting stronger by the day. Even though he rarely replied, she didn’t mind as long as he didn’t find her annoying. They say the chase is easier when it’s the woman pursuing the man, but to her, it felt like she was trying to climb a mountain she could never summit.
She had just finished work and sent Jackson a photo of the office hallway. “Finally done for the day. How about you? Are you off yet?”
Minutes went by with no response. She felt a familiar twinge of disappointment.
When she reached the parking garage, Susan was waiting for her. Susan was perfectly made up, wearing designer clothes and a new Chanel bag. She was decked out in limited-edition jewelry, clearly having iressed up for this encounter.
Natalie looked at her coldly. “What are you doing here?”
A few colleagues walking down with Natalie slowed their pace, whispering and curious about the two
women.
‘Who’s that? She looks rich, but she’s got a real attitude.”
‘I think I’ve seen her. Isn’t she Leon’s girlfriend? The CEO of Bond Technologies? He takes her everywhere.”
“Wait, if that’s the girlfriend, does that mean Natalie is the side piece? Did she get caught?”
“I remember him coming here before to make a scene. They seemed pretty involved. Is she actually a homewrecker?”
Hearing the whispers, Susan tilted her chin up and slapped Natalie across the face. “You shameless homewrecker! Leon and I belong together. He doesn’t want you anymore.”

Chapter 298 The Act
“You’re just trying to get his attention by making clients pull their contracts. Bond Technologies is on the verge of bankruptcy because of you. Have you no shame?”
The accusation immediately fueled the rumors among the watching colleagues.
Natalie didn’t hesitate. She slapped Susan right back. “Susan, your company is failing because of your own incompetence. Don’t try to pin that on me.”
“If your brain is full of water, go shake it out somewhere else. Everything Leon had, I gave him. Now I’ve decided to stop giving. Is there a problem with that?”
She couldn’t believe Susan had the nerve to show up at her workplace to humiliate her. Leon was the one who messed up, yet they always tried to make her the villain. They never took responsibility; it was always someone else’s fault.
