Chapter 307 The Scum

That slap was brutal. It sent Natalie, who was already unsteady from the drinks, crashing straight onto the ground.
Her arm scraped against the pavement, a searing pain shooting through her. Hearing Leon’s self-righteous lecturing, she actually felt like laughing from pure rage. She tried to push herself up by the glass door, but her limbs were weak and heavy from the alcohol.
Using every bit of strength she had left, she scrambled toward the entrance. She prayed that Bryan would show up soon; otherwise, she was really going to be dragged away by Leon.
Leon stepped out of the private booth a moment later. He grabbed Natalie’s shaky arm with zero tenderness and yanked her forward. “Move. You’re coming back with me. You’ve been far too disobedient lately. I need to teach you a lesson.”
The rough pulling made Natalie’s head spin even faster. She gritted her teeth in hatred. “Leon, you better think this through. If you lay a finger on me, my parents and Bryan will never let you go.”
“You’re still threatening me?” Enraged again, Leon swung his hand and slapped Natalie across the face a second time. “We’re a couple. Doing that is perfectly normal. Even if they find out, the only option is for me to marry you. Your reputation out there is already trash. Who else is going to marry a used-up woman like you besides me?”
In his mind, if he could just force Natalie into bed, the Sand family would be forced to help him again. Then, getting whatever he wanted would just be a matter of Natalie saying the word.
The desire to tame her grew stronger. It seemed so much faster and easier than humoring clients and begging for business.
Natalie bit her lip, clutching her swollen cheek. “Leon, you’re an animal.”
“You pushed me to this,” Leon sneered. “You’ve been helping me for so long and then you just stop? Did you ever think about the mess I’d be in? If you want to be jealous, that’s your business. Why did you have
your
brother pull the investment? Don’t think for a second that this behavior will make me bow to you. A lapdog should act like one. If you don’t listen, you get handled.”
Natalie suddenly burst into laughter, tears streaming down her face. “Everything you have was given to you by me. Now that I don’t want to give it anymore, you’re going to resort to robbery?”
She had seen shameless people before, but never anyone this depraved.
Leon let out a cold snort. “You gave it voluntarily. Nobody begged you. Since you already gave it, what’s wrong with letting you keep giving? Besides, this stuff is pocket change to your family. What right do you have to just cut me off?”
If his company wasn’t on the verge of bankruptcy, he wouldn’t even deign to touch Natalie. He had Susan, and that was enough. Susan was sweet and submissive. On the night she returned to the country, they had already slept together. She had moves that completely hooked him.
She was ten times better than Natalic, who was far too stiff. They had been together for three years and she was still awkward about even holding hands. He’d never even felt an urge to be with her. From the start, he

had only viewed Natalie as a substitute for Susan. That was it.

His plan was to marry Natalie into the house and then keep Susan on the side so they could keep seeing each other.
Natalie was so choked with rage at his disgusting logic that she couldn’t even speak. How had she been so blind to fall for a piece of trash like this?
Just as Leon was about to shove Natalie into the car, a large, slender hand stopped him.
The next second, Natalie fell into a warm embrace. She looked up and saw Jackson. Her heart leaped with joy. Jackson was dressed in black casual clothes. Under the dim streetlights, his sharp features and dark eyes made him look like an angel sent from above.
Jackson looked down at her, his voice full of concern. “Are you okay?”
