Chapter 51 Do You Not Understand Human Language, Should I Find a Translator?

Perry glanced at Tracy and immediately nodded in agreement, “Her capability is truly impressive. To get into an event like this, it seems we underestimated her.”

He also found Tracy incredibly annoying. She clearly knew the man’s heart wasn’t with her, yet she insisted on clinging to him so desperately. It was pathetic.

Lincoln asked curiously, “You said this haute couture dress is worth tens of millions. How did Tracy get it? With her meager fixed salary, how could she afford a gown worth tens of millions? I find it very odd.”

He pondered for a moment, then Lincoln suddenly said, “Ah, I figured it out. Is there a possibility she’s wearing a high-end counterfeit? At an occasion like this, she’s trying to save face by wearing a knock-off. Tsk tsk, how embarrassing!”

Yvonne frowned unhappily when she heard them mention that she and Tracy had clashed dresses.

But when she heard them say Tracy’s was a fake, her expression immediately relaxed. Tracy wanted to compete with her? She should see if she was even worthy.

Chandler merely glanced at Tracy, paid no further attention, and walked away with Yvonne.

Meanwhile, Tracy quickly rose to her feet when she saw Sam enter, moving to greet him.

However, after taking a few steps, she was stopped by Lincoln, “Chandler is here to discuss a very important partnership. Don’t go over there and cause trouble. The woman next to Chandler is the CEO of Xander Corp’s sister. They’re just being polite for the occasion; don’t take it seriously.”

He believed he had phrased his warning very tactfully. If Tracy was sensible, she wouldn’t make a scene now.

Men prioritize their careers. If Tracy caused Chandler to miss this business opportunity, he would distance himself from her even more.

Tracy surely understood this logic without them needing to elaborate.

After all, whenever Tracy had wanted to cause a scene before, she always retreated once they said this.

But Tracy saw Sam’s figure and bypassed Lincoln, explaining, “Get out of the way. I’m not here for Chandler. I saw someone I know and need to go find him.”

She didn’t want any entanglement with them. All she wanted now was to find Sam. Whatever Chandler did was utterly irrelevant to her.

Today was the first of the month. After the banquet, she would leave Chandler completely.

Therefore, everything about him was meaningless.

Lincoln didn’t believe her. He stepped forward, blocking Tracy again, “Who could you possibly find here? You should leave quickly. This is not the place for you.”

He didn’t believe for a second that Tracy wouldn’t cause a scene after seeing Chandler with Yvonne.

She must be here for Chandler. She might even use this opportunity to make a big fuss and publicize their relationship.

The mere thought of this possibility terrified Lincoln. Tracy staying here was a ticking time bomb, liable to explode at any moment.

Therefore, she must leave.

At this point, Perry also stepped forward, intending to join Lincoln in dragging Tracy out.

He said sternly to Tracy, “Please leave quickly. Don’t make a futile struggle. Everyone here is an industry elite; this is not a place you should be.”

He and Lincoln were of the same mind, believing Tracy might rush over at any second to pull Chandler and Yvonne apart and cause a scene.

As they tried to drag Tracy toward the door, she became furious and violently shook them off.

She scowled and said coldly, “Are you two sick? I said I’m here to find someone, not you. Do you not understand human language? Should I find a translator for you? You love trying to make Chandler look good; you truly are his good little dogs! If you touch me again, I will call security and report you for attempted kidnapping of a woman.”

Lincoln: “…”

Suddenly shoved aside by Tracy, Lincoln was stunned, surprised by the shocking words Tracy had just uttered.

The people nearby stopped their conversations and their gazes turned toward the commotion.

Tracy offered no further explanation. She smoothed her dress and headed toward the

restroom.

Sam had just entered and was immediately surrounded by a group of people. They showed him respect

respect and quickly engaged in lively conversation.

Sam looked for an opportunity to glance around for Tracy, and when he didn’t see her, he looked down to make a call.

Before the call connected, a small commotion a the door drew his attention. He looked up and saw Tracy’s retreating back as she headed to the restroom.

He wanted to follow her but worried about causing a misunderstanding, so he lit up his screen again and called Tracy.

She quickly answered, and her tired voice came through, “I’m so sorry, something suddenly happened over here. I’ll be out as soon as I use the restroom.”

She truly hadn’t expected to run into them here or that they would misunderstand that she was here to cause trouble.

It seemed that as long as she appeared within a hundred meters of Chandler, they would assume she was there to cause trouble, without fail.

This is unbearable.

Sam glanced at the situation near the door, “I saw you. What happened over there? Are you alright?”

Tracy shook her head, “I’m fine, I’m sorry to worry you. I’ll be out in a minute.”

She had been slightly roughed up by those two dogs and needed to tidy herself up before going out. One should always look presentable at a banquet.

Sam, holding his phone, walked toward the door, “Okay, I’ll wait for you not far from the

entrance.”

After hanging up, Sam saw Yvonne walking over arm-in-arm with Chandler.

He smiled derisively. Sending his lackeys to clear away his legitimate wife, only to strut around with his mistress in public-his character was clearly lacking.

He felt the need to seriously reconsider the possibility of a partnership with such a man.
