The Divorce Papers Tasted Like Revenge (Tracy and Chandler) novel Chapter 69

Chapter 69 Do You Even Know What Manners Means?

Chase turned his head to look at Tracy standing in the doorway of the hospital room. Seeing her cold and mocking expression, his anger flared.

Chase strode right over and roared at Tracy, “Tracy, was I wrong to say what I did? Aren’t you just unable to stand the fact that we dote on Yvonne, and you just want to get our attention? Don’t you think it’s shameful to try and get our attention this way?”

The two slaps he received from Tracy at the flower shop yesterday were still stinging. He had grown angrier the more he thought about it after going home. Even though he had applied ice packs for a long time last night, he could still vaguely see the two handprints on his face. It was utterly humiliating. Seeing the perpetrator now, and realizing she dared to mock them in front of Jared, his fury boiled over.

Tracy curled her lips. Her already pale face looked even more bloodless now. “You really like to flatter yourselves, don’t you? Do you truly think you’re so important? If I really wanted to deal with you, would I settle for such a painless revenge? Use your moldy brains to think carefully. This is clearly your own problem, yet you want to pin the blame on me. I simply cannot accept it.”

This was how the Xander family was: whenever they ran into a problem, they always looked for external causes, never reflecting on their own mistakes. They were truly such shameless people. Sometimes, she felt that Yvonne and they were the true family, as their moral character was exactly the same.

Just then, Jared walked over and, adopting an elder brother’s air, lectured Tracy, “Tracy, when are you going to stop making trouble? We haven’t even settled the score with you for hitting Chase yesterday, yet you’re still standing here mocking us. Do you even know how to write the word ‘manners’?”

As the head of the company, he was usually very busy with work and simply had no time to deal with domestic trivialities. He didn’t know when Tracy had started to become so aggressive. He only remembered that the Tracy of his childhood was very well-behaved and obedient; he used to adore his younger sister. But later, Tracy became a habitual liar, her personality grew extreme, and if they criticized her even slightly, she would become irritable and lash out indiscriminately at others. He simply could not bring himself to like a sister like that.

“Manners?” Tracy sneered. “Doesn’t it sound ridiculous for you to bring up that word with me? Your good stepmother certainly has manners-she forced Mom out and then used her illegitimate daughter to take her place. Your good sister Yvonne also has manners-she interferes in other people’s marriages and eagerly rushes to become someone’s mistress.”

Those two mother and daughter were like devils. Although it’s true that it takes two to tango (meaning men were also heavily at fault), if they hadn’t been willing, there would have been

“How can you talk about me like that?” A soft, weak voice came from behind her, laced with a sob.

Tracy turned around and saw Yvonne, whose eyes were red and whose lips were bitten, looking like she was about to cry. Yvonne’s foot was wrapped in gauze, and she did indeed look quite pitiful.

Faye supported the seemingly unsteady Yvonne her own eyes instantly turning red. “Tracy, I know you strongly resent our mother and me, but you can’t falsely accuse us like this! Yvonne is in a proper relationship; how did it turn into her interfering and becoming someone else’s mistress when it comes out of your mouth?”

Tracy scoffed. The mother and daughter were mistresses, yet they managed to feel a sense of honor about it. Tsk, tsk. Their skin truly wasn’t just thick; it was probably even thicker than the Great Wall!

Chase rushed over to support Yvonne, then shouted at Tracy, “Tracy, you’ve gone too far with your words. Hurry up and apologize to Yvonne and her mother.”

Before Tracy could speak, Jared grabbed her injured hand. She gasped in pain, her face growing even paler. Jared pushed Tracy toward Yvonne and her mother and said coldly, “Tracy, when you do something wrong, you must act accordingly. Hurry up and apologize.”

Tracy had only recently recovered from her fever, her head was still hazy, and her steps were unsteady. With Jared’s push, she stumbled straight toward the floor.

A long, slender hand pulled her up, drawing her into a warm, broad embrace. Tracy raised her eyes with difficulty to look at the person: it was Sean.

His eyes chilled as he scanned the Xander family members. “Is this how you treat your own sister?”

Seeing Sean appear here, Jared was stunned for few seconds, then immediately smiled and explained, “Tracy was disrespectful to her elders. We were just giving her a brief lesson; we didn’t intend to bully her.” He hadn’t expected Tracy to actually fall. He was shocked when he saw her go down. He had wanted to catch Tracy but Sean was quicker.

“Elders?” Sean’s cold gaze swept over Faye, and his thin lips curled. “Does she qualify?”

Faye was startled by Sean’s look, her face turning pale. This man is terrifying. His appearance brought with it an invisible sense of pressure. But judging by his attire and demeanor, he was noble and extraordinary, and Jared was being unerly respectful to him. She finally reached a conclusion: this man’s identity must be very unusual. But how did Tracy meet him?

Yvonne didn’t recognize Sean, but she was quick to observe. She explained tearfully, “Sir,
