The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 1024

Rebecca wasn't discouraged. Despite sensing Jonah's indifference, she still held onto her confidence.

She adopted a softer, more vulnerable stance, hoping to provoke Jonah's protective nature.

"Mr. Pilsner, do you dislike me? Have I been a bother to you and Hailey?"

Jonah remained silent.

While wearing a pitiful expression, Rebecca continued, "I'm sorry, Mr. Pilsner. I left my keys behind, so I can't go home right now. Hailey and I are good friends, and she kindly brought me along. If my presence is unwanted, I can leave right away."

After saying this, Rebecca was sure Jonah would speak up.

But Jonah's expression remained impassive, and he stayed silent.

At that moment, Rebecca felt her face flush with embarrassment. With Jonah's utter disregard, it was clear that no relationship could ever blossom between them.

"Mr. Pilsner, I—" Rebecca began.

But before she could finish, the fitting room door swung open, and Kylie's voice rang out, "Mrs. Pilsner is ready!"

The instant Jonah heard Hailey's name, he immediately dropped the magazine and stood up.

In no time, Hailey stepped out, wearing a white wedding gown.

The off-shoulder cut highlighted her elegant neck and the curve of her collarbones.

At the same time, the wide lace skirt gracefully concealed her baby bump. The glint of sparkling diamonds framed her slender limbs and radiant face.

She exuded an enchanting beauty that seemed to light up the room.

Rebecca was left speechless in that instant, stunned by Hailey's sheer beauty. Indeed, a woman in a wedding dress was unparalleled in her charm.

A flicker of awe flashed in Jonah's eyes as he looked at Hailey. His gaze lingered, utterly mesmerized by her presence.

"This wedding gown looks absolutely stunning on Mrs. Pilsner. What do you think, Mr. Pilsner?" Kylie asked, breaking the silence.

Still staring at Hailey, Jonah was momentarily at a loss for words.

"Mr. Pilsner? Are you there?" Kylie called out, bringing Jonah back to the present.

With that, she followed Kylie back into the fitting room.

Rebecca was overwhelmed by jealousy. Not only did she have to watch Hailey's happiness unfold, but Jonah acted as if she didn't even exist.

She couldn't accept it.

The thought of walking away empty-handed left a bitter taste in her mouth.

Suddenly, an idea sparked in her mind.

"Mr. Pilsner, I'll just go see how Hailey is doing," Rebecca said, taking a step forward.

But just as she reached Jonah, she pretended to twist her ankle.

"Ah!"

With her foot giving way, she tumbled straight into Jonah's arms.
