The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 1045

Jonah openly admitted that he knew Rebecca.

The entire lecture hall erupted in an uproar. For the students, his words were almost like an official announcement. It was clear to them that Rebecca was his girlfriend.

"Damn, Rebecca, you're so lucky! When you and Mr. Pilsner get married, you'd better invite us to the wedding!"

This was exactly the kind of attention Rebecca had always craved. But now, those envious glances felt like a thousand cuts.

Flustered, she quickly tried to correct them, "No, you're mistaken. Mr. Pilsner and I aren't what you think we are…"

Jonah smirked. "Rebecca's right. Our relationship isn't what you're imagining. We're just acquaintances. She's not my fiancee."

The students were left in shock.

Whispers quickly spread through the hall.

"Wait, what's going on here?"

"But given how excited Rebecca was around Mr. Pilsner, I really thought they were dating!"

Jonah's gaze fell on Rebecca. "Back then, I didn't know who Rebecca was. I only met her because she's a friend of my fiancee. My fiancee even invited her to stay at our place for a while. That's how we became acquainted."

Considering the scene Rebecca had caused earlier in the cafeteria, it didn't take long for the students to put the pieces together.

"Oh my god, Mr. Pilsner… is your fiancee… Hailey?"

In an instant, every eye in the room shifted to the back row where Hailey sat.

Hailey had remained silent throughout the entire exchange. With Jonah there, she didn't need to say a word.

She had known from the very beginning that Jonah had come to stand up for her.

With grace and confidence, Hailey openly shared their relationship and the exciting news of their marriage.

At her announcement, the students sprang to their feet.

"Hailey, I can't believe you kept this a secret! How could you not tell us you and Mr. Pilsner were a thing?"

"Hailey, we're definitely coming to your wedding with Mr. Pilsner!"

Jonah reached for Hailey's hand, his fingers enveloping hers.

As their eyes met, a loving smile passed between them.

Then, turning toward Rebecca, Hailey spoke up. "Rebecca."

At the sound of her name, Rebecca froze. In an instant, all eyes shifted to her.
