The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 1046

"Rebecca, we used to be friends. When your father was abusing you, I took you in out of kindness. That night, Jonah came home late.

"I was downstairs working on my designs while he went upstairs to shower. Yet somehow, you ended up in our bedroom.

"To be exact, you walked into our bathroom. Didn't it occur to you that Jonah was in the shower?" Hailey said.

The students froze, shocked by her blunt revelation.

Hailey continued, "When Jonah was showering, you barged in wearing a very revealing nightgown. He instinctively threw a bottle to defend himself.

"How could he not assume you were an intruder? I don't think anyone would call that wrong. After all, he was just protecting himself."

Rebecca stood frozen.

The students immediately chimed in.

"Hold on, Rebecca. I can't believe you actually stepped inside Mr. Pilsner's bathroom!"

"Damn, you have no sense of boundaries at all."

"Let me put myself in Hailey's shoes. If I had a friend from a troubled family and kindly took her in, I definitely wouldn't appreciate her barging into my fiance's bathroom late at night wearing a nightgown. I wouldn't be able to tolerate that either!"

"Rebecca, that's way over the line!"

"Do you have a thing for Mr. Pilsner?"

"She definitely does! Did you see how thrilled she was when Mr. Pilsner called her name just now? It was clear she was smitten!"

Everyone turned to Rebecca, shooting her accusing glances.

Hailey sneered. "Rebecca, I never wanted to make a big deal out of this, but you wouldn't drop it. You even got down on your knees in front of everyone in the cafeteria. I had no choice but to set things straight today."

The other classmates chimed in again.

Jonah chuckled coldly. "Those who feel guilty often use tears as a shield. They pretend to be vulnerable just to earn sympathy. But honestly, it's nothing more than a pathetic show."

Rebecca was caught completely off guard. Every word and action of hers was wrong; even the tears she shed were seen as a mistake.

She stood frozen, unable to say a word.

Jonah took Hailey's hand and addressed the students. "I came to Aspenfield University today to announce that I'm in a relationship with Hailey. Also, she's carrying our baby. I hope you'll all support us. Thank you."

Hailey always wore loose dresses, so no one had noticed her pregnancy until now.

The moment the news broke, the students burst into cheers.

"We've got more than a wedding to celebrate now! There's a baby on the way too!"

Hailey's eyes sparkled with happiness. "When the time comes, we'll definitely celebrate with everyone!"
