When Bridget had him escorted out of her office, Parker was still completely dazed.

He hadn't understood a word she meant.

All he knew was that his mother had always blatantly favored Cassidy.

So, he actually did go home to find his dad.

Harrison Quincy had zero involvement in the corporation, spending his days puttering around the estate, obsessing over his plants and his massive collection of antiques.

After listening to Parker's long, agonizing rant, Harrison carefully pruned his prized bonsai tree and chuckled. "Just coax Cass a little. It wouldn't kill you."

Parker was dumbfounded.

Was anyone in this family actually listening to him?!

Cassidy was the one in the wrong!

Why was he the one being told to apologize?!

Parker lunged forward and snatched the gardening shears right out of Harrison's hands. "Dad!"

The shears were razor-sharp.

Harrison instinctively stumbled back two steps, sighing helplessly. "Then what exactly do you want to do?"

Parker hurled the shears onto the ground.

"I want her to apologize to me! And I want her to fire that male secretary immediately! No, wait, she has more than one random guy hovering around her—she shouldn't even be at the firm!"

"Doesn't she have her own little studio? Why does she need to work at our company? Tell her to go back to her own business!"

"And she actually had the nerve to move out. She's doing it on purpose, trying to force me to beg her to come back. In her dreams! I want her to move back in today! The house is a complete disaster. She fired all the maids—this is practically a rebellion!"

"I want her to put the house back the way it was. We were perfectly fine before, and now she's throwing a massive tantrum just to spite me!"

Parker ranted on and on, airing every petty grievance.

Harrison patiently listened until he was completely out of breath, then asked in genuine confusion, "Do you not remember why Cass joined the firm in the first place?"

Parker froze.

Harrison answered for him. "Because she was going to divorce you. Joining the company was her condition for staying married."

He asked again, "Do you remember why she wanted a divorce?"

And answered again: "Because she caught your secretary feeding you cake and saw the photos of it."

Harrison patted Parker on the shoulder. "Son, your mother cares deeply about the baby Cass is carrying. My advice? Stop causing trouble."

"Me, causing trouble? What trouble am I causing?!" Parker shouted. "That's completely different! Besides, I never actually slept with anyone else! Is she just taking revenge on me now?"

Harrison asked calmly, "Did they cut off your allowance?"

"They cut my allowance ages ago! All I have now is my salary!"
