"Alright. Come on, let's go home." Felix stripped off his trench coat and draped it over Jasmine's head, shielding her from the world as he guided her outside.

Yates chased after them. "Jasmine!"

Felix shoved Yates hard in the shoulder.

Yates stumbled backward, losing his footing and crashing to the floor. He called out desperately again, "Jasmine!"

But Jasmine and Felix had already vanished into the night.

"But this guy? Put on a pair of heels and you're taller than him. What did you even see in him?"

Felix was the kind of person who didn't know the meaning of comfort; he just kept twisting the knife.

Jasmine fell silent for a moment before answering, "We grew up together."

"Growing up together doesn't mean you shouldn't have standards!" Felix said in all seriousness. "If that's the bar, I should have picked out a wife in kindergarten."

Jasmine was speechless.

The depressing atmosphere lifted slightly.

She changed the subject. "Don't mention what happened just now to Cassidy or Nora. We had such a good time today, I don't want to ruin their mood."

Felix agreed.

They thought it was just a minor hiccup.
