If Seraphina could actually convince Maloney to divorce her, that would be wonderful.

A moment later, Seraphina finally found her voice again. "You really don't mind that he has someone else in his heart?"

Nora shook her head slightly. "I don't."

A flash of unadulterated rage ignited in Seraphina's chest.

From the moment they started talking, Nora had maintained this infuriating nonchalance. It was intensely aggravating.

Her people reported that Sebastian had fallen for Nora's cousin, Bella Monroe. Therefore, Seraphina fully believed a different version of events: Bella had drugged Nora to destroy her reputation and steal Sebastian, inadvertently dragging Maloney into the crossfire.

Now, two years had passed. The scandal was old news, yet Nora was still clinging to Maloney like a leech.

The more Seraphina thought about it, the angrier she became.

"My brother and I came here today to discuss a project with Maloney. Now that I'm back, I'm taking over the family business. I'll be working closely with Maloney from now on. I'll be spending every single day with him."
