The Divorce That Brought Us Back novel Chapter 336

"Are you still there, Maloney?"

Nora kept her back to the counter as she slowly sank into the bathtub.

"I'm here," he said softly.

"What?" Nora glanced over her shoulder. "I can't hear you."

Maloney raised his voice. "Bring the phone closer."

"Alright." Nora stood up in the tub.

Her wet hair clung to her back, water droplets tracing a path down her luminous skin.

Maloney's throat bobbed.

Nora reached out and picked up the phone from the counter.

The beautiful view came to a sudden halt.

"Is this better?"

The screen was now filled entirely with Nora's face.

She tilted her head slightly, a few damp strands of hair sticking to her cheek, her eyes practically dripping with a lazy, seductive charm.

"Nora." His voice was so low it was almost hoarse.

He murmured a quiet demand.

Nora froze, her cheeks flushing deep red amidst the rising steam.

She fully admitted that she had started this. She had purposely teased him, playing a dangerous game of long-distance flirtation. But his request was just too...

Too explicit.

"No way," she muttered. "I'll get banned."

"You won't."

"I will."

"You weren't banned a second ago, and you won't be banned now."

"I..." Nora started to argue.

Maloney cut her off. "Hurry up. I still have work to do after this."

Nora was left speechless.

Fifteen days apart.

And they were finding their release through a screen.

Emerging from the bathroom later, Nora sprawled face-down on the bed, his deep, shuddering sighs still echoing in her ears.
