The Divorce That Brought Us Back novel Chapter 362

For a split second, Parker genuinely thought he was dreaming.

He slowly dragged himself upright.

Hearing the movement, Cassidy and Seraphina both turned to look at him.

The hazy scene before him snapped into sharp focus.

The confusion on Parker's face rapidly morphed into utter shock.

As far as Parker knew, Cassidy and Seraphina were bitter enemies.

Seraphina was supposed to be Maloney's perfect match, but due to a twist of fate, Maloney had married Nora instead. And Cassidy was Nora's fiercely loyal best friend.

To protect her best friend's marriage, Cassidy had a natural, venomous hatred for Seraphina.

Not to mention, they had bad blood tracing all the way back to high school.

During Cassidy's sophomore year, her classmate had won a prestigious spot as the school's anniversary host, only for Seraphina to swoop in and steal the gig out from under her.

Back then, the Sinclair family was practically royalty, and Seraphina was a notoriously arrogant brat. The school's administration bent over backward for her. It was just a hosting gig, and to keep the little heiress happy, they effortlessly brushed a normal student without connections aside.

Cassidy had vented to Parker about the incident herself.

She told him she despised Seraphina and forbade him from ever getting close to her.

Parker had thought it was ridiculous.

Whether it was Nora or her high school classmate, Seraphina fought for what she wanted and won. Why should she be demonized for it?

The weak weren't automatically the victims.

Parker had refused to listen to Cassidy's demands.

And he certainly hadn't obeyed them.

But now...

Parker stared blankly at Cassidy and Seraphina. "You two..."

He couldn't even formulate a sentence.

Seraphina shot him a dismissive glare before turning back to Cassidy. "If that's everything, I'm taking off."

"Mm," Cassidy nodded. "I'll personally bring the contracts to your office tomorrow."

"Save the formalities." Seraphina checked her phone. "I won't be in the office tomorrow. I'll call you when my errands are done."
