Diana finally understood.
After a two-second pause, she burst out laughing.
"Oh, sweetheart. You're fresh out of the gate, propped up entirely by your parents' money. Did you really think you made it to the top on your own merit? A fragile flower raised in a greenhouse, daring to come here and challenge me? It’s the biggest joke I’ve ever heard!"
Diana’s predatory gaze pinned Seraphina down without an ounce of mercy. "The Dodge Corporation deals in real, tangible industries. What do you know about that? Let alone the fading Sinclair Group, even if Maloney Jameson stood in front of me right now, he'd still have to speak to me with respect!"
The air in the office instantly froze.
Seraphina stared at Diana in absolute shock, unable to formulate a single word.
This was her very first real negotiation in the corporate world.
She had assumed that the Sinclair name and her title as Vice President would be enough to let her coast through the meeting with ease.
She never expected to be brutally shut down, left completely defenseless.
Seraphina’s cheeks flushed a deep, humiliating red.
She scrambled mentally, desperately searching for a comeback.
She was normally so smooth in social situations, yet under Diana's suffocating aura, her mind went completely blank.
What she failed to realize was that she was used to dealing with the trust fund crowd. Sure, in her little bubble, she was a standout.
But against Diana, she was entirely out of her league. It was a total massacre.
Diana had built her empire purely on her own strength. Over the span of twenty years, she had taken The Dodge Corporation from a struggling million-dollar operation to a multi-billion-dollar titan, transforming an unknown brand into a household name.
She was not someone to be trifled with.
"I have another meeting. I’m done playing house with you," Diana said.
Checking the time, she stood up from her chair and added coldly, "If you want to intimidate people in the business world, try grounding yourself in reality first. Come back when you’ve actually produced some real results."
With that, she walked straight out of the office.
