"Cassidy! Nora! You made it!"
The enthusiastic greeter was Felix Hart. He was Cassidy's cousin, a The Juilliard School graduate whose acting career tanked after audiences shredded his androgynous take on a supporting role. Realizing he was far too spoiled to endure the grueling life of a serious actor, he had pivoted to the glamorous world of internet stardom.
Felix beamed brightly at the two women. But the moment his gaze shifted to Jasmine, his expression hit a comedic freeze. "W-w-w-who is that?"
"Why are you stuttering?" Cassidy shot him a weird look. "Didn't you read my text? This is my best friend, Jasmine. She's your new co-star."
Felix blinked. "J-j-j-jasmine."
Cassidy just stared at him.
"Is your brain malfunctioning?"
"Ah, no! I just... I mean, I was just so thrilled to see Nora again! It's been way too long." Felix recovered with a cheeky grin, winking at Nora.
"Miraculously, you've stopped stuttering," Nora deadpanned.
"Enough clowning around in the hallway." Cassidy shoved Felix inside. "Let's talk business."
The four of them settled around the dining table.
Cassidy quickly introduced Felix's background to Jasmine before explaining the setup. "He's officially signed as an influencer under my agency. He shoots narrative-driven content—basically, heavily scripted short-form videos."
"My creative team drafted three incredible pitches for him, but he shot them all down. He's insisting on using a script he wrote himself."
Felix chuckled. "Hey, you've gotta believe in your own artistic vision."
