Mischa felt her whole body get really hot all of a sudden, and then it was just gone after a full minute, but that bangle on her wrist. When she looked at it, she saw the moonstone turn pink and then a deep red like the color of her blood, and then a moment later settled to white once more.
The bangle felt warm to her on her wrist and she knew it had been activated, her heat was now negated by the fairy magic and as long as she didn’t take that bangle off, none would sense or smell her heat, it was as if she wasn’t having one.
She also knew that it was that next bout that had now triggered it. The first bout activated the imbuing and the very first second of that second bout had shut it down. It just felt like a deep hot flush. It hadn’t been painful, so to speak, just unexpected was all.
She smiled, and checked the time, 1653. There was no slight ache in her lower abdomen that was almost
a constant with a she–wolf’s heat. She got up and walked from the room, stepped outside it and stood
waiting for a moment to see if any males would scent her and come this way, nothing. She then walked
down the hall to where the hallway gave way to the opening to look down at the packhouse foyer.
Many wolves were moving about down there, teens laughing and hanging out, none of them looked up or smelled her heat, she smiled. It really did work, she connected herself to Paul ‘It’s over.’
‘What is?‘ he asked right back, seeming a little confused.
‘My heat. I’m also on the Alpha Floor landing in full view of the pack.‘ She told him, ‘no unmated male wolves are responding to me at all.‘ she told him. ‘The treatment worked,’ she stated, and heard the smile
in her own voice.
She saw him a moment later, came out from the Alpha’s Office in kind of a rush and looked up at her, tracked her easily, with that Gamma Luna bond they had. She smiled at him and raised a hand. She saw him breathe in deeply as if trying to scent out her heat for himself.
‘I get nothing.’ He told her.
‘I’m coming downstairs, I’m hungry.’ She stated and moved along the hallway to the elevator and pressed the button, got in and went downstairs. She saw many turn and look at her and understood why. The pack had been informed she was in heat and here she was not in heat at all.
Her unit and the Alpha Unit all walked towards her, and she saw Kendrick frown deeply. “How is this possible? It’s not even been a day,” he asked.
Mischa looked at them, everyone kind of looked confused bar Paul, and she stated, “A gift from the Goddess,” and she wasn’t lying, it had been. Selena had sent her to Forest of Light and connected her to Maddie and Aubrette. “I guess she thought I’d suffered enough the first time around.” She shrugged.
“That or you’re pregnant, so the heat stopped.” Kendrick mused.
Mischa raised an eyebrow at him. “On birth control,” she stated as she turned and headed for the dining

hall.
“That doesn’t always work,” he mused.
“Christy’s heat?” she asked curiously, “How’s that going?”
“Anthony has yet to come out of the room. Though I do believe he checked on you after her bout finished,” Kendrick answered her.
“I told him to just stay with Christy unless you’re in a bout of heat,” Paul told her “reminded him that would be best for your state of mind. Considering what he saw and heard, and I felt from you after that first bout. He was unhappy about it, but then just kind of sighed and agreed you’d probably not want his company anyway.”
She nodded, and got food, sat and ate with the unit an early dinner, “What’s her heat like? Did he say, is it going to be as bad as the one in November?”
“Mm,” Paul nodded. “I believe it will be exactly the same. Brent prepared drugs for her, though stated yours were tailored by Dana so couldn’t be used on Christy. She has to have regular drugs that we have here in the pack, like you did.”
She thought about that, “It’s unlikely she’ll suffer like I did because Anthony will tend to her bouts, probably
not all of them to give her a break, but him tending to even every other one should keep the pain under
control or that’s what I read anyway.”
“That is up to them, what they do. She let him mate her the entire time last time, she might again,” Letti
commented. “Though why she did in the first place is stupid. Not even I would let Kendrick do that.”
“I wouldn’t do it. That would harm you, sweetheart. would step away, once I drugged you up to the hilt and saw you were sleeping soundly.” He smiled at her, “Come back only when you called to me. Keep the door to our bedroom closed so as not to succumb to the scent of your heat but stay in the suite.”
She saw Letti smile at him and shake her head. He was leaning back in his seat smiling at his Mate, and Mischa knew he was thinking about her being in heat, and how much he liked it.
She shook her own head and Paul touched her arm. “Do you still need that bucket of wolfen–loaded ice cream?” he asked, and everyone heard the amusement in his voice.
“No, I guess not.” She shook her head. “I guess I can share it with the girls.”
“Hey, I talked the chef into making it. I want a share of that.” Paul smiled at her.

She knew he was likely sitting there feeling her out right now, and she was actually all good, and he knew it. “I think it will make for a really nice dessert.”
“I’ll sort it.” Paul stated, and she saw his eyes glaze over.
“Are you at all concerned about your heat being so short, Mischa?” Carot asked her.
“Not really.” She shook her head. “It is what it is. Will of the Goddess; actively stopped it on purpose, so I wouldn’t suffer again.” She shrugged it off, because she knew why and there were no concerns.
Anthony knot you?” Kendrick asked casually.
eyes moved towards him, and she knew he was trying to figure out if her birth control hadn’t worked something else was going on. She wasn’t offended by his line of thought or questioning. Knew it was ning as well. Of course, it would. How could it not?
He did.” She answered him simply and continued on with her meal.
She saw May walk into the dining hall with Harvey and both of them looked right at her and frowned, but then May just put her hand on Harvey’s arm and moved them on to get food. She was calculating inside her mind everything she’d heard from Simone, she supposed, about Mischa, stating she’d gone and had treatment.
May was quite perceptive but also knew when to hold her tongue, just like Harvey did. They sat at their usual table and ate their meal, but she could see from here that May’s eyes were glazed over. She was
about to become the talk of the pack she supposed.
Though that would settle by morning, she hoped.
She was just polishing off her second bowl of ice cream when she felt Anthony connect to her ‘Mischa, are you alright, I’m not getting any bouts of heat from you?‘ he asked, sounding confused.
‘That’s because my heat is over.‘ She answered him.
‘Unlikely. He murmured, ‘Four days normally.‘
‘You can ask your unit. I’m currently sitting in the dining room having dinner with all of them. I felt it end about an hour ago, I suppose. Guess you being with Christy and her being in heat, you didn’t pick up on it.‘ She told him, ‘Don’t concern yourself, I’m fine.’
There was silence for a moment, and then he murmured ‘I’ll come speak with you later.
‘Why? Christy is in heat, you need to be there. I’m not going to ask you to interrupt it. Don’t, on my account,

“Christy’s heat is, in his words, as vicious as the one she had in November.” She told them all. She looked
Paul. “You documented her heat today?”
I did. Yours first and then hers. Though I’ve not had a chance to document, yours is over.”
do it myself, Paul.” She told him.
Just nodded. “You understand I had to document everything today about what I felt from you.”
Yes, that is expected of you. I trust you, Paul,” she told him simply.
She walked from the table to her office and sat down and logged in to read Paul’s notes on herself.
May Heat Log 0850: Luna Mischa has gone into her regular May heat today, time 0843, location; dining hall corridor, Christy informed by myself, of Luna Mischa being in heat.
Anthony was there when Mischa sensed the very beginnings of her heat, as were the Alpha and Luna units, all having breakfast in the dinging hall. Packhouse cleared as per pack protocol. The elevator used to move Mischa upstairs; the safest route.
Christy seen to be in the elevator when it opened, (using it to come downstairs.)
Gamma’s personal thoughts: I’m hoping that Christy coming across Mischa in heat will not affect her like it
was reported to have done back in November, setting off an overly aggressive heat in Christy that ran the
same course as Luna Mischa’s heat. (No heat scent detected by myself while Christy and Mischa were face
to face, should negate issue that arose from Mischa’s previous heat.)
