The Eclipsed Life of Luna Mischa (by Jennifer Francis) novel Chapter 140

CH 140

May Heat Log 0932: Anthony reported to Pack Gamma, that the bout of heat is over, and Luna Mischa is in full distress, that she needs her Gamma’s assistance, due to the affliction she sustained from previous heat not being attended to. I connected with Luna Mischa, and she latched right onto me and accepted my Gamma’s Charm being rolled at her down through the mindlink.

Distress was noted by Gamma to be high in both Mischa and Laud. She admits she freaked out and wasn’t coping. The emotions felt coming from Luna Mischa, matched her words exactly. Gamma Charm used to help settle Luna, until such a time as Luna Mischa told me she was doing alright and to let go.

The Charm was stopped, but the mindlink connection remained, to see if she was in fact doing alright. This was suggested by the Luna herself. I, as the Gamma, agreed, also thought it was for the best. (The Luna/Gamma bond is good and strong.)

Mischa was calmed and settled by Gamma Charm. The time was noted to be 0945. Luna then stated she wanted to be alone (there is a known full disconnection to Alpha at present time, they are at full odds). The message was relayed by myself to Alpha Anthony, who acknowledged Luna Mischa did not want him in the room. (Heat attended in an empty vacant room. Not Luna Mischa’s private suite.)

She smiled to herself at the way Paul wrote it all up. It was very clear and concise, nothing was missed, all references to her prior heat and what happened were there, and he’d even managed to add in her affliction and how it came about. Paul had, she thought, likely already thought long and hard in the lead up to her heat; about what he was going to write.

What he wanted to be covered, she supposed. He considered Christy pulling the same stunt as last time, even though it was documented hours before Christy had enacted her plan. He’d made it clear, they’d come across each other and no heat scent had been on her for Christy to smell and use that as an excuse as to why she was suddenly in heat at the same time as Mischa.

Paul, she now knew, was writing in a way to trip Christy up and expose her when the time came, knowing that her blood work was going to come back the same as last time, saying that no one had done anything to her and so it was unexplainable. It appeared to be a natural heat caused by Christy being in Mischa’s presence during her heat, just like in November.

She liked the way it was worded, but didn’t think Anthony was going to be happy reading it when he came out of that room. Depending on if her heat succumbed him back to how he was always only caring about Christy or not, would see how he reacted to what was between the lines; that Christy did this to herself via her own pheromones.

Then there was a simple entry from Debbie; 1530 unexpected event Christy, the Alpha’s second Mate, just went into heat, Luna Mischa is currently in heat. Luna Mischa notified by myself. (Christy was not due to go into heat, just had one back in February and that is why this log is marked as an unexpected event.) It was short and simple, straight to the point.

She clicked out of her file and into Christie’s to see what had been documented and by whom.

Paul was the first to log anything for the day Heat notification: Second Mate of Alpha Anthony, Christy, notified by myself of Luna Mischa going into heat, approximate time of mindlink 0844. Christy was seen to be inside the elevator when it opened to take Mischa upstairs. (Christy and Luna Mischa face to face for approximately 10 to 15 seconds.)

Then he’d copied over his Gamma’s personal thoughts: I’m hoping that Christy coming across Mischa in heat, will not affect her like it was reported to have done back in November, setting off an overly aggressive heat in Christy that ran the same course as Luna Mischa’s heat. (No heat scent detected by myself while Christy and Mischa were face to face, should negate issue that arose from Mischa’s previous heat.)

The next log was from Elder Debbie: Unnatural heat Log 1520 While attending Luna Lessons, I smelled Christy’s heat bloom in my office. I mindlink Alpha Anthony and his entire unit regarding her heat blooming. Packhouse being cleared to move her from my office to her suite. Much confusion from

Anthony, and seemingly Christy about her going into heat, she shook her head and stated, ‘I just had a

heat in February, this isn’t right.

a’s personal thoughts: I’ve never before recorded or read, in any book about a shewoif, of rank, having three heats inside a year. (Normal heat cycles for wolfen folk are one to two a calendar year.) I have never heard of three heats in a year, let alone within a sixmonth time (I will research into this further to see if i can find an explanation.)

however, now appears that my fears (previously mentioned) over Christy and Mischa coming across ach other have been realized. Blood work should be taken from Christy to see if there is anything to detect the very explainable reason of her unexpected heat blooming.

The previous heat in November that bloomed across Luna Mischa’s heat was noted by Gillian (the pack pathologist) that something like this could happen if one smells the other’s heat, seeing as they are bonded not to each

Mischa leaned back in her chair and smiled at the documentation; Paul had been very thorough and extra diligent, she thought. She returned to her own pack file and logged a note herself. Heat Log: My heat is over; one bout only felt, attended to by Alpha Mate. At approximately 1653, my heat ended. Heat lasted approximately 8 hours and 10 minutes, then all signs of heat were gone from me. I connected myself to the pack Gamma, Paul. To let him know of its unexpected ending and that I had left the suite.

I walked the packhouse Alpha Floor and checked for myself if any in the foyer smelt my heat, many

unmated male teens with wolves were down there, they smelled nothing. Paul came from the Apha’s

office and checked himself, smelled nothing. The heat declared officially over. I ate dinner in the dining

cept button, and it was logged to her pack file, just like all the rest. She left out all her why Christy went into heat, didn’t want to have anything there that Christy could use against ing her of sowing discord.

ned back in her chair once more, then logged into her personal email system, and typed out a age, so she could let Maddie and Aubrette know how the fairy magic had worked, so they could tell er shewolves what to expect if they chose to go down the same round she had to stop her heat from

ppening.

Maddie,

My heat started this morning, one bout, then just over eight hours later, I got a really deep hot flush sensation rolling through my body, it was seen that the moonstone glowed red, and my bangle got hot for a moment and then everything settled and the bangle and moonstone returned to normal. My heat is now officially over.

What I believe happened was, as Aubrette stated; and that deep hot flush was my next natural bout of heat happening, and the imbuing becoming effective, the heat rolling through my body was the magic to stop the

heat itself.

From this you can explain to others, like myself, that will have an imbued item, what to expect or roughly so. Aubrette never elaborated on how it would feel. I think that though, is because she’s never experienced it herself, has the knowledge but no use for it herself.

and 8 hours apart, and that is why I believe there was that if a shewolf’s heat bouts are an hour apart or two is to be expected, for the time of their heat to end officially.

She hit the send button and wondered if she should contact Dana as wellShe thought about it for many minutes and then opted not to, it would be logged in her diary and registered to that study as well. Dana was going to get it all at some point. She walked from her office to her suite and sat at her desk up there, she had to write it all up now in her personal diary, she didn’t really want to relive that one moment but it

had to be logged.

She also wanted it to be read by Anthony later on when she left him, so that he understood that at that moment out there in the hallway, not only was it herself but Laud that as well, that wanted to be mated by anyone but him, she would include Laud’s stance inside her mind as well. Just to be certain he

understood in full Lauds feelings.
