“No!” Anthony gasped in horror down the line at her words.
“Yes,” she stated right back, calmly but firmly. Regardless of what he thought or wanted, he would know and understand the full truth of her leaving him now. This one thing would show him she was never coming back, because she was not going to abandon her child to be raised by another.
“This, what is happening now Anthony, I see it as; it is simply the will of the Goddess. It was meant to be. Because my heat came early, it’s never done that before, and it bloomed right before Alpha Declan stepped into the place I was in. He did not know I was in heat when he walked in to that stairwell.
“So Selena wanted him to mate me, is how I see it. Deal with it, this is the consequence of all you did or allowed to happen.” She informed him and reached out and tapped the end call button. She was done talking to him.
She’d also not kept the truth from him; she’d been mated through her heat, by an Alpha Male and was now carrying his pup and heir to the pack. All things that should see him finally want
to let her go.
“When will you go and reject him?” Paul asked, and she turned and looked at him; he was switched on and knew she was thinking about that very thing herself.
“Hmm, difficult now it is. I don’t really want to have to suffer through that while I am with pup. If I was mated to Declan, I would just go and do it; our bond would likely keep the pup safe, but seeing as we are not Mates, it could cause me to lose the pup.” She shook her head, careful planning needed to happen.
She’d seen many things come from broken mate bonds. Pups could be lost or survive a rejection. That kind of depended on the bloodline of the mother, the length of the mate bond, why it was being broken and who wanted the rejection or issued it. Many factors could influence the loss of a pup during a rejection.
“I’d prefer it be sooner rather than later,” Declan stated, and she turned and looked at him questioningly, and he smiled at her. “I don’t know if I can keep my wolf’s paws off you, between now and when that pup is born. You would know being a Luna how possessive a father wolf is of the one carrying its pup.
She nodded. “I am well aware of it, seen it many times over my lifetime.” She chuckled softly. “Nick is the prime example of a possessive Alpha.”

“That he is,” Declan nodded. “Don’t think for a single second, Mish, I and Wild won’t be the same. If you weren’t mated to that man and his beast, I’d have been in your bed every night. We could well find that a problem now, with my beast, it’s what he wants to be there every
moment.”
“Hmm, I’m not out to cause Anthony pains of betrayal on purpose that heat was different.” She told him simply.
“I understand that, but you smell lovely to us, and Wild has yet to take his eyes off you since we got home. He is watching and listening to your every word in this office. Is, I know, willing no, that’s not the right word…” Declan stated and then thought about it for a moment, “Wild knows what he wants, and that is to sink fangs into you. He only held himself back today due to that filigree you already bear. If not for that he’d have claimed you for himself already.”
She raised an eyebrow at him. “Not waiting for your Goddess-Gifted?” she asked. That was a curiosity to her, most pure-bloods would, in fact, wait on their Fated Mate.
“Who’s to say you’re not that?” Declan stated and got up from his chair. “We’ve not come across each other on a full moon. It’s entirely possible you and Laud are our Fated Mate. One never knows,” he told her, and motioned for his unit and their Mates to all leave this room.
She watched them go and then turned her eyes back to him. “I’m marked and mated Declan.” She told him simply.
“Yes, you are.” He nodded. “But that Mate of yours was gifted another two decades after you and he were mated to each other. So, what’s to say that isn’t going to happen for you here in
a week,” he commented.
She looked at him now with more than curiosity because she had asked the Moon Goddess to gift her a second Mate, just like Anthony had gotten, so he could see her choose him, and make him feel how she felt, to not be wanted in full. There was only a week until the full moon; anything was possible.
‘His beast is what I asked for, Laud stated ‘Fast and strong, he can half shift, nothing stronger than a pure-blood that can do that. I want a wolf that knows without a doubt what he wants. His human just told us he wants to sink fangs into us; I know he would have today if not for us already being marked. Marked us in half shifted form at that.’
She couldn’t help but think about everything that had gone on. She’d also asked Selena for a Mate that had deep, dark soulful eyes that she could drown in, and wild wavy hair. As she stood looking at Declan now, he was actually everything she’d asked for. He also wasn’t concerned about telling her how he felt or what his wolf wanted.
Just laid it out for her. Even his wolf’s name embodies what we wanted; Wild. Laud

murmured, ‘Good at sating our needs, I no arc up at him or his beast mating us or knotting us, felt good. Liked it more than a little.’ Her own wolf admitted.
She knew he could see she was talking to her beast; he’d see the flicker of eye color change as they talked, and as she looked at him after her conversation with Laud he smiled at her. Contemplating, are we?” he asked.
“No,” she shook her head, “Just discussing something we’d previously talked about. You reminded us of something we’d done and asked for. For ourselves,” she told him.
“Which would be?” Declan asked.
“That we deserved a second Mate, and what we wanted him to look like, be like and…” she smiled a little. “Laud just stated you match that description.” She told him honestly. “I agree with her, you and your beast both match what we asked for. Though we did ask for gifted not chosen.”
His smile deepened now. “Care to voice it for me to hear in full.”
She shook her head ‘no’ “I don’t think that is wise.” She smiled at him, could well incite him or
his beast.
“Why are you worried I might jump on you?” he asked with a chuckle.
“Maybe. Though probably not you per se,” she admitted.
“Oh! So, you’re worried about how Wild will react.” He leaned on his desk. “Now that Misha is very telling.”
She nodded because it was. “If you’re gifted to me, I’m not going to say no.” She smiled. ” Neither is Laud.”
“I will claim and mark you in the blink of an eye. Then…” he reached out and tugged her closer to him and leaned down to her ear “Mate you, I’ll have to have some restraint due to our pup being in your belly.” His hand slid over her abdomen but stayed above the clothes, and she knew that was to stop the pains of betrayal hitting Anthony. “You might have to be in control of that.”
“Best I would be, if that were to happen.” She nodded as she looked right up at him, into those deep, dark soulful eyes of his. They were full of merry amusement, he appeared happy talking to her about this very thing.
“Keeping my hands off you is going to be a problem; I want to have you without the heat between us. Though…” he put her a little away from him. “I understand we can’t,” he stated and tapped her filigree just once. “Until that is gone.

“Agreed,” she nodded and thought about it. When would be the best time to do that? She didn’t want to keep him or his beast from laying hands on their belly, or an ear. From caressing the baby bump when it showed, or rubbing her belly through growing pains.

She wanted him and Wild to be able to do all of that. She looked at him and nodded slowly.” A rejection is to be issued. I will do it, but I want to wait until after the full moon comes and goes. I want to see if what I asked for will be granted… I am hoping so.” she told him.
He smiled at her now. “That is good to hear. If I’m granted to you, you’ll have to choose between him and I because we’re both Alphas to two different packs.”
“I’ve already made my choice, Declan.” She told him “It will be very clear to him. But I’m not going to him, to do that. I’ll never go to him ever again, so he will have to come here to this pack, for that to happen.”
“I’m fine with that… So does that mean if we don’t scent each other out on the full moon, you and Laud are open to us marking and mating you anyway?” he asked.
“Is that what you’re wanting?” she asked right back.
She watched as his brown eyes tinged with red as Wild pushed forward to look at her and then they both spoke together, “Yes.” It was just one word but spoken in unison to show they were both in agreement with what it was they wanted.
She watched his beast retreat and Declan smiled at her. She nodded at him. “Yes,” is our
answer.
“Let’s go and have lunch. The boys and I came home for that, but didn’t quite make it. You must be hungry, eating for two now.” He smiled. “I’d kiss you but…”
“I understand.” She nodded.
“May I announce it to the pack officially?” he asked.
“Hmm, best you wait on that until after I issue my rejection so you’re not seen as tearing a mate bond apart.” She murmured.
“They all know you’re here for sanctuary. I don’t think they’ll blame either of us if I tell them the truth. Your heat bloomed in front of me and Wild and I succumbed to it is all. All packs see that happen at times, why there are laws about it.”
She thought about that as he ushered her out of his office and walked next to him. She knew he was right on that. “I guess you can, if you don’t think the pack will object or are up at you
for it.”
“They will not.” He smiled.
