The Eclipsed Life of Luna Mischa (by Jennifer Francis) novel Chapter 193

Anthony

He looked at Christy now and knew without a doubt all she’d done here inside this pack, everything he’d defended her against. Stated she would never do those things, but he was now certain she actually had. He’d been so very blind to all that was going on; he didn’t understand how Christy had managed to get him to take her side at every turn.

To never listen to Mischa and what she said, he didn’t understand how things had gotten to where they were, but now he wasn’t on Christy’s side either. Over the past few weeks of living on his own without her in his suite, he’d missed Mischa more and more and only now realized he’d not done that over the years.

She’d told him many times that he didn’t care, that he only wanted Christy, and he had no concern for her at all. Didn’t need her for anything other than to be the pack’s accountant. They’d been her words even today. He’d told her it wasn’t true, but was it? Had he relegated her to nothing inside this pack because Christy had some sort of hold over him?

A hold he knew nothing about, what had this shewolf standing before him done to him, in order for him to turn away from Mischa. When had it actually started and why hadn’t anyone told himOr had they and somehow Christy had made him blip over it. She wasn’t standing here crying in front of him right now. Wasn’t always like she had been to him for the past three years, appearing tearful and weak.

She wasn’t upset and feeling insecure, she didn’t look like a shewolf that needed him at all, he realized. No, she just looked like a shewolf that was ticked off because she wasn’t getting her own way. He was, he thought, clearheaded for the first time in a long time, and she also knew it. They’d not slept in the same bed for a month, he’d kicked her out of his suite and had all her things removed from it.

Right this minute, standing before him, knowing Mischa had left him, she didn’t care at all, there was no apology from her to him about Mischa having walked away and why, because it was what she wanted. This shewolf before him, didn’t care at all for the pain he was in. No, she was happy Mischa was gone.

She’d gone out of her way to make sure he didn’t know she was gone. He’d not received the notification of Mischa having closed out her Luna email or her Luna file, and he’d checked both of them back when Christy had ruined the alliance with Nicholas. After he’d gotten home that evening, and there was a notification of both, they both even indicated they’d been read by him.

But he’d not recalled reading them. Now, after all, Mischa had stated he was certain that Christy had logged into his email, marked them as read herself. Before, he’d cut her access off; he’d demoted her but hadn’t cut her access off in full until after Mischa had been gone from this pack.

He shot off across the room and grabbed Christy, and she screamed and tried to run, but he was much faster than she was, and he snarled down at her, You are the cause of Mischa leaving me, severing from this pack and being initiated into another. You are the reason behind her being pregnant with another Alpha’s pup right now.

Get off me.She grated out and tried to pry his hand from her arm.

You’re going to pay for all you did to ruin my mate bond with Mischa. He bit out and dragged her from the

kitchen.

Christy was yelling at him that it wasn’t her fault, that Mischa left all on her own, when she found out they

were having pups. He stopped walking as he was hauling her out of the packhouse, heading for the cells and looked at her. His eyes moved to her distended belly, and he wondered if that was it.

Was that the very reason Mischa had left him? Would getting rid of those pups see Mischa come back to him, back to this pack?

They’re your pups.Christy suddenly gasped and placed a protective hand over her belly, Don’t do anything you’ll regret.”

Regret?he asked as his eyes moved to hers.

Mischa has left you, she’s not coming back, that Alpha will never let her go now. She’s carrying the heir to his pack. These are your own pups, the only heirs to the pack you’ll have now. Mischa will never give you a pup, never produce an heir to this pack, will stay there and raise her pup with that other Alpha.Christy told him, Think about it carefully, Anthony. She softened her tone and implored him.

If you harm them, kill the twins we’re having, you’ll not only have lost Mischa, but your own pups at your hands. Can you and Shade live with that? Killing your own pups, I know you think right now getting rid of them will bring her back, but will it?she asked him. “Don’t harm them, they are innocent and you’re their father.

He thought about her very words: will killing those pups growing inside this shewolf who Mischa hated, bring her back to him? Will killing Christy herself bring Mischa back to him? The answer was in Mischa’s words that she’d stated to him today.

She’d had another Alpha and his unit bare witness to her own words. She did not want him to reject Christy, she’d told him to stay with her, raise those pups that they were having, and it was his choice to reject her or give her back the title of Luna.

He’d wanted her and accepted her traitorous behavior and protected her at every turn. She wanted no part of what he did from now on and that included what he did about those pups and Christy herself. Killing her and the pups wasn’t going to bring Mischa back. If he told her he’d killed them, she’d likely just see him as a traitor to his own kin.

His hand fell from Christy as he realized she was right. Getting rid of his pups with Christy wasn’t going to solve anything. They were his pups, and although he wanted Mischa to have the heir to the pack, it was her right. She’d stopped wanting it long ago, yet he’d heard that smile in her voice when she’d stated she was pregnant.

She was happy about having a pup, and one that wasn’t to him, to her own Mate. She was pregnant out there with some other Alpha’s pup and she was happy about it. He staggered a step as it hit him in full. She’d not only left him, but was truly happy wherever she was, she would never birth a pup and hand it over to be raised by that Alpha.

Just to come back here to a pack where she was nothing, where Christy would in her eyes be put before her by him, to watch him have pups with Christy, while hers was somewhere else. She wasn’t coming back unless she was, bringing that pup with her. That Alpha now knew everything about what had happened here between him and her or Mischa’s side of it.

He was never going to let Mischa come back here to Night Whispers, and he certainly wasn’t going to let his heir be raised away from his own pack. Tone, I’m still here.Christy’s voice came to him soft and gentle I’ll never leave you.she reached out and took his hand gently and placed it on her distended belly. I’ll never cause any more trouble, I promise you this, swear an oath to you if you want that.” She offered

His eyes moved towards her, at her words, She’d never cause any more trouble. Which meant she had just

admitted that she had caused trouble for him, for this pack and for Mischa; and she’d never cause any more trouble. That was because Mischa was gone and there was no need for her to do so anymore was all; she’d gotten what it was she wanted.

He removed his hand from her distended belly, You’ll cause no more trouble. He bit out. So you admit you did cause trouble then.He locked his hand around her wrist and yanked her towards him once more. “There will be no more trouble from you. You’re right about that.He grated out and started hauling her off once more. You got everything you wanted, and I lost my first Mate and Luna because of you, I now see.

Where are you taking me.” She gasped as she struggled against him.

To the cells where all traitors belong,he rapped out as he hauled her away, uncaring of her struggles against him, You will stay there until I find out all you did to separate Mischa and I; she just told me that she documented everything. I know if she said that, then she did, every little thing.”

You’re crazy, I didn’t do anything to harm Mischa. She yelled at him. I’ve never laid a finger on her.”

You say that, but you just admitted to me, just a moment ago, that you wouldn’t cause any more trouble. Which means you did actually cause trouble, and on purpose between Mischa and I. I’m going to get to the bottom of it.

I’m pregnant with your pups. She grated out and struck out at him, her claws sank into the flesh of his arm and tore through it. He stopped walking and looked at the bloody wound she’d just inflicted upon him.

You just attacked the Alpha to this pack. That is a crime.” He bit out. You also just attacked and harmed your own Mate, that is also a crime inside this packmay be hauling you off to the cells, but I’m not
