She’d been happy to see Anne arrive inside the pack, and she’d brought not only her Mate and two children, but her brother and his family and their parents as well. They’d all been initiated into the Whispering Moon pack by Declan and then she and the Luna’s unit had walked them to the housing that had been allocated for them after her conversation yesterday about her coming here and being her omega once more.

She’d told her already she was with pup to the Alpha here, how it had come about, and Anne had simply stated, ‘Of course, Mischa, I’d love to stay on as your personal omega. Thank you for thinking so highly of me that you’d want me to come to you still be that. I’ll pack up, and we’ll be there soon.’

Now as they walked, Anne chose to walk. She wanted to stretch her legs and said they’d come back for the cars later. It was a long drive, and they’d have all day to unpack. All of Anne’s family were, it seemed, happy to take the stroll.

She nodded. “It’s all there in black, blue and green for him to see.” Was all she said on the subject herself. “He no longer concerns me at all.” She told her simply, “He let go of me years ago, and now I have simply let go of him as well.” then she connected a mind-link to her’ Come the full moon I will have a new Mate.’ she stated.

‘What?’ Anne asked.

‘Hmm, Selena has gifted Declan to us. He hasn’t scented me yet, but he will on the full moon, Laud and I already feel the sparks on our skin and can scent him out as our Mate. That happened yesterday.’

Anne stopped walking ‘You were gifted a second mate, and it will happen on the full moon… you wanted that, for Anthony to see you scent out a second Mate and feel relegated to nothing.’

‘I did.’ She nodded. ‘Though now, just having Declan claim me, Mark me, and then Anthony turning up to see I have double filigree will be just as good, he’ll understand it was the will of the Goddess that I got another Mate because he didn’t feel it and it didn’t kill him. That I have chosen Declan and will be living with him simply because I let him Mark me.’

Two Alpha Mates from two different packs, you’d have to choose between them.’ Anne nodded and they walked on once more.

“You know Misha, it’s only a day’s drive from here to Night Whispers, you could invite him for the full moon, play it out the way you wanted to.’ Anne told her, ‘I would, after all you went through. I saw a lot but, if you’ll pardon the intrusion, I also read a lot in the scanning of that last diary for you!

‘It’s fine Anne, anyone can read it. A cautionary tale for those with two Mates, or how to handle a new Mate coming along and trying to eclipse you. How to go about things, I guess you could say. I didn’t hide the diaries. Before I moved into that Council suite, I often sat in my room and wrote in it. Anthony saw it many times on my lap or on a table. He just never cared to ask what was it in.’ she shrugged.

They arrived at the houses and Anne smiled. Her whole family would live here in these town houses, all built together, with one fence around them, so the yards were all shared, there was a fourth home, and it belonged to Lisa and her Mate.

Lisa had been the one to suggest this for Anne, and Misha had thought it was a good idea. Both of them were Personal Omega’s to Luna’s one to Declan’s mother and the other to herself. Lisa was standing there and Misha did the introductions.

The three families walked through the homes and the children were running about in the yard, already happy with space. But they all wanted to go and play in the playground before the incoming forecasted snowfall arrived.

She walked them back and leaned on the fence to watch them play just her and Anne. The others were going to unpack in their new homes. “Things are moving inside the old pack, Misha. Anthony and Christy are the only ones not in the know of what is going to happen to that pack.

“The Elders are going to unseat him, but keep Kendrick and Dereck. The pack agreed to this. They know the unit is loyal to the pack. They also know they followed all your wishes and neither of them told Anthony you’d left him. Neither did the Elders. A new bloodline is going to be seated; all the former Alphas are, as you know of his bloodline.

“So, it was put to the pack without Anthony’s knowing and voted on, for the Wolfen Council to be informed and the Elders to ask for a new Alpha and Gamma bloodline to be seated. They would prefer one of Paul’s bloodline, but none would go back to my knowledge. Have all moved on now,” Anne told her.

“This is what stopped many more from leaving the pack, the plan the Elders had for it, they all got to stay together in the place they were born, or moved to, and will have a new Council appointed Alpha to run the pack, so they all know he’ll be worthy to run a pack.”

Misha looked at Anne only a little surprised by hearing this, “When did that happen?” she asked curious herself.

“That pack-wide vote went down, the day Anthony finally took Christy to the Rising Blue Lotus, and they were both out of the pack, so it could be held as a mass gathering and proper discussion. Harvey pushed Anthony hard to force his hand, so the Elders’ agenda could happen.”

At least she could see that the pack wasn’t going to fall apart and be abandoned, that the wolves she’d watched over were going to all stay together and have new leadership; that was a good thing.

“Christy?” she asked curiously.

“Hmm, is I believe, currently in the cells. Anthony dragged her there yesterday, I don’t know what you said to him, but he turned on her pretty darn quickly, as for what will happen to her.” Anne shrugged. “I just kind of presumed, with the unseating of Anthony, they’d been relegated to naught or asked to leave and they’d stay together,

“But now with him reading your diaries and her being in the cells. It’s anyone’s guess. But she was stripped of everything from Anthony after they came home from the Rising Blue Lotus, and she was working in the pack kitchen for the past few weeks. They were still in separate suites; they are at full odds.

“Honestly, the pack chatter is all about they think she’s getting a rejection from him the moment the pups are born. None even cared to hide that from her. She was not being treated very well, and the word traitor was used around her often. She couldn’t even yell and scream at them, because she’s only Anthony’s Mate and not his Luna anymore.

“He rescinded her title; she’s got no back-up at all inside that pack. Is, I believe learning the hard way, that one shouldn’t burn their bridges, which she did; all of them. That one shouldn’t count their chickens before they hatch. Even being pregnant with the Alpha’s pups hasn’t granted her any leeway.

“It actually kind of backfired on her. She’s a traitor and those pups she’s carrying are too, as far as the pack are concerned. None will be acknowledging them. They actually voiced it in front of her uncaringly. She has tried to make some friends over the past few weeks; been nice to some of the omegas, it got her nowhere at all, and when the Council comes and changes the bloodline for the pack, the pups will be moot,” Anne told her.
