CH 209
Anthony
“I’ve finally admitted to myself that the entire pack do not trust you, will never ever trust you. There is no redemption for you, here inside this pack. They won’t even so much as eat the food you help to prepare and cook for the packhouse dining hall.
“The pack dining hall was empty when I went to eat tonight. It kind of surprised me. I’ve not been eating in there, had meals brought to me in my office, but seeing it today, I asked why. The answer was simple, they don’t want to eat anything you prepare because they think you’ll poison them.” He sighed a little on the heavy sighed, “Do you know what happens to the Mate of the Alpha that the pack can’t trust?
“She’s not able to hold the title of Luna, something I took from you a month ago. Do you know what happens to the Alpha’s Mate, who has been deemed a traitor, but can’t repent and continues to do traitorous things? She can no longer remain inside this pack or be attached to it in any way.” He informed her of why she was in this cell and what was about to come for
her.
“You can’t send me away. I’m your Goddess-Gifted Mate, and here by the will of the Goddess,” she stated, as if that was all that mattered.
“Mm, you are my Mate, but I see you don’t yet understand that, that is no longer going to save you. What you fail to see even after I’ve laid it all out so very clearly, is why I’m here, Christy… which is that I am here to inform you that I am going to reject you as my Mate. I will be courteous enough to wait until those pups are born, but the minute they are I will be in front of you to issue my full rejection.”
That shot her to her feet, and she stalked all the way over to the bars. “You wouldn’t dare, you already lost Mischa. If you reject me too, do you think the Goddess will ever grant you another Mate? Mischa ain’t coming back, she is pregnant to another Alpha.
up when
“How long do you think it will be before he walks her into this pack and has her issue a rejection so he can claim her for himself?” She laughed. “He’s not going to give her she’s giving him an heir to his pack. You’re stuck with me now,” she stated.
“Am I really?” He shook his head, as he got to see the real her once more, still trying to play the Goddess-Gifted Mate and rejection card with him even now, “If the pack can’t trust you, no one can, I certainly can’t anymore now can I, you did nothing but lie to me for three years solid, you are not worthy of being a Luna,
“Let alone a Mate to anyone, everything you touch will be tarnished by your own selfish,

deceitful ways. You’ll ruin every Mate bond you’re granted if Selena gifts you another Even if you take a Chosen you will ruin it. Because you didn’t cherish what Selena gave you in the first place, you were given an Alpha, the highest of ranks and still, you couldn’t love and cherish what was gifted to you.
“I see now you’ll never care for anyone bar yourself. You don’t actually believe any wolf is worthy of you, and that’s the real problem. You were a Luna and still managed to destroy everything you were given. I gave you absolutely everything you wanted, didn’t care about your spending pack money,
“I spoiled you rotten and still that was not enough for you. Do you think you should be the Queen of wolves or something? If an Alpha is not good enough for you, then what rank is?” he asked her, because there were only Royals above Alphas. “Do you see it? That you’ll never be happy you literally had the top dog, and still he wasn’t good enough for you.
“You destroyed us, all on your own.” He shook his head. “Why?” he asked, really wanting her to answer that very question. “Explain to me why I wasn’t enough for you.” He demanded. “I shouldn’t have to share what is mine with anyone. If you’d just rejected her and kept me, none of this would be happening.” She told him angrily, “I’m not the problem, you are. You selfishly wanted to have two Mates, kept her all the time, which made me feel like I wasn’t enough for you.” She grated out. “Even now your turning me away and for her, I’m carrying your pups and still all you care about is Mischa, fucking Mischa, when I should be all you care about. These pups should be what you care about,” she yelled at him.
He stood staring at her now, as she explained her reasoning to him, called him selfish, when he’d done nothing but give her what she wanted, even now she was still yelling about Mischa even though a moment ago she’d told him Mischa wasn’t coming back to him.
“You don’t even really care for the pups you’re carrying, so why should I? You threatened to kill them yourself. They are clearly nothing but a tool for you to use as leverage against me, their father, who is, in your eyes, not good enough for you… I will not be allowing that, you will not have a claim to them when they are born. Traitors don’t get to raise their pups.” He stated what he knew to be the truth.
“I just got a notification from the Wolfen Council, Christy. They are coming on the first of December to this very pack, and I’m going to tell them what you did. How you’re trying to leverage those twins in your belly.
“They will take those pups from you and remove your right to raise them. Find someone that can do a better job of raising them, somewhere you’ll never find them, just to be able to use them as leverage, in getting whatever the hell it is you want, because I don’t know what it is anymore. You got an Alpha Mate and a pack and you destroyed both,

“I don’t think you even know what you want, other than to have everyone do your bidding and even then…” he shook his head. “It’s not going to please you, because you want the world to fall at your feet, when you don’t deserve it.” He told her and she really didn’t.
“You’re not fit to be a mother, to raise them, likely would just abandon them the moment they didn’t serve your purpose. Or, Goddess forbid, you’ll abuse them because they don’t help you to get what it is you think you are entitled to have. Maybe you’ll just turn on them, because you had everything a she-wolf could possibly want to be, you were the highest of high within a pack and still it wasn’t enough for you. Likely you’ll just blame them for it and harm them for ruining it, when in fact you ruined it yourself.”
She was just staring at him now almost uncomprehendingly, but then after a minute she snapped out of it and bit out, “You wouldn’t dare, they are your own bloodline.”
“Hmm, they are, but I now see I’m also not fit to raise pups either. Seeing as I’m so easily deceived and swayed by others’ words,” he shook his head. “Just as easily as you were by Mischa herself, she played you in the end, like you played me. Let me tell you something that Mischa would call… a kicker.
“You went to an awful lot of trouble to get pregnant before she did, so much so you forced yourself to go into heat at the same time as her just to stop her from getting pregnant. Only it was all for naught. She was on birth control all this time.”
“No, she came off that before her last heat. She told me you’d dragged her to the pack hospital to see Brent, and you insisted she wasn’t given anymore birth control. Brent confirmed that when I asked him myself.” She stated as if she knew it to be a fact.
Anthony snorted as he came to understand Mischa’s words, about she’d played a hand in getting Christy to do things to herself. Clearly, this was one of them; he laughed, “Oh my Goddess, you’re so stupid. I did do that, but she had enough supply of it to get her through to her heat in November. That’s when it was going to stop; both she and Brent played you and you fell for it.
“They worded themselves to see you take what they wanted you to, from it. That’s how dumb you are, Christy. You played right into her hands at every turn, she got you to do things that saw me round on you, saw the Elders come for you and all with just a few simply spoken words, she could predict what you’d think and do from things she said or did, lined up for you
to see even.
“Christy doesn’t disappoint,” he stated as she snorted once more. “We’re Mischa’s most commonly written words in that last diary of hers. She even predicted exactly what you did and said to me when she was in California and you answered the phone, she got it dead right. You should have stopped antagonizing her long ago, but you just couldn’t.” He shook
his head.
“Because you’ll never change, I now see, because you’re rotten to the core and despite my lacking the ability to see this, Mischa knew it, and now I see it myself. Finally my eyes are open to you and your rottenness. So, the moment you deliver those pops, prepare yourself for a rejection. That is all you can expect from me in the future. Unless, of course, you want as reject me now,” he offered up.
“Either way, you’ll be staying in this cell, there is no getting out of it. You committed too many crimes to be counted against this very pack, the leadership of this pack and put the pack in danger, and practically bankrupted it all on your own.” He turned to leave.
