“What you did is punishable by pack law. It can be seen as you treated your own Mate and Luna like those that are abducted are. Elder Allen stated, “We do need an explanation as to why, for nine days, you aggressively over mated Luna Christy, if it’s not a satisfactory answer, we’ll trave to look at bringing in the Wolfen Council for a full formal inquest into what you did, so you know it’s unbiased.

“Causing harm to your Luna in such a way that your own actions are to be considered against her will, and could in fact bring about permanent damage to your own Luna. Over mating as you well know, can cause internal damage and render a she–wolf unable to have pups.

“If we have to move this to the Wolfen Council, then, as you’re aware, Alpha Anthony, they could well judge your behavior, as seeing you’re unfit to rule the pack and not only unseat you, but have you reject both of your Luna’s as punishment. Leaving the longest reigning Luna in charge of the pack.”

She felt Anthony’s eyes upon her as he listened to the extremes of what could happen to him. Yes, she was all in right now. Those words of his, spoken with full assurance that there would be no rejection, were now up in the air.

She wanted that explanation. “You could have come to me and mated me through my heat in order to give

Christy proper rest, but… you didn’t do that… See it as a valid option to help give her time to recover from

her bouts properly.” She shrugged at him. “So a third option was open to you in the not bringing harm to your other Luna. Yet?” she raised both her hands palms up as if to say ‘Well‘.

She was not here to help him and that look on his face right now was one of ‘why are you doing this to me? I’m your mate, we’re supposed to be on the same side. But they hadn’t been on the same side for a long time, or he hadn’t.

“It was me,” Christy stated, and stood up. “Don’t do that to him, it was me. I begged him not to leave me, for even a single minute. I told him I could handle it… even when I couldn’t, I clung onto him and made him stay with me the entire time.”

Mischa shook her head, that she–wolf really wasn’t so bright.

“Is this the whole truth girl?” Elder Allen asked.

“Yes, I don’t lie to you, I wanted him there the entire time.” She nodded.

All the elders now looked at Anthony to see if he would confirm that, and he nodded. “Yes, and when the bouts came, I nor my wolf could deny it. The scent of her heat consumed us.” He scrubbed a hand over his face. “As you can see, Christy has no reservations or aversion to me, which would show that I forced her. And regardless of a mate bond between us, she would have. Would be looking to reject me and be traumatized and afraid of me.”

“Which I’m not,” Christy stated and stepped over to sit herself on Anthonys lap, leaning all into him.

“And I rest my case,” Mischa stated from her seat. “The two of them tried to frame me for bringing harm to

Luna Christy. I, as the first claimed Luna of this pack, demand you the Elders punish them as per pack law.

“What?” Christy gasped and turned wide eyes upon Anthony. “I don’t understand.”

He was now just sitting there with his eyes closed. He knew Christy had begged him to stay, or he had played along with her story, and admitted it as truth to stop the Wolfen Council from coming. With the way he’d not wanted to admit anything, she was certain Christy’s words were true.

She’d begged him to stay with her, and he’d done so, choosing to ignore Mischa in her heat, and that was why he’d not wanted to answer her question, because it would make him took like a selfish, callous, bastard and prove her very own words to him about who he wanted to be with more, who he loved more.

He didn’t want that because he liked saying he’d been blessed twice by the Moon Goddess, had two Mates. One that was sensible and reliable and could, as he’d stated, run this pack if he was gone, and one that he could have fun with.

Yet he had come out of that room and accused her of setting it all up for Christy to be harmed, because Christy had eluded to the fact that Mischa shouldn’t know she’d need medical attention.

She looked at Christy. The girl really should go and attend some sort of schooling and educate herself,

and grow up a lot, stop being so narcissistically selfish, so she didn’t walk into her own traps or have them

completely backfire on her because she couldn’t see how things might look to others.

“Your heat was deemed as a natural occurrence,” Elder Allen stated and stood up. “So, you Luna Christy, knew Luna Mischa did nothing to you right from the beginning. You also just stated that you wanted Anthony to stay and mate you, regardless of the pain and injuries to yourself that would come about from being over mated.

“That is the key point. The other is that Anthony agreed to do that, stay with you the entire time… Yet you, Christy, used words that alluded to Luna Mischa being the cause of your coming to harm during your heat,

but knew she didn’t.

“Anthony then went right to Luna Mischa and accused her on not just your behalf, but on his own because of what you said. He wasn’t in the full know like you were, but that doesn’t matter now, he just backed you up. You both knew, it was you, Christy, that asked for him to stay and caused your own pain and suffering.

“Regardless of if anyone had actually drugged you and set off that heat, it was you that begged him to stay and caused yourself harm, but then tried to frame Mischa for it and Anthony actually went and did that, accusing Luna Mischa of setting it up.

“Now we have gotten to the very root of the issue and have all the proof as well, from your own lips to not only our ears but your own Alpha Mate as well. But it also shows us, and Luna Mischa, that you, Christy, stopped Anthony on purpose from going and tending to Luna Mischa’s heat, interfered in Luna Mischa’s heat willingly.

“Something he also knew he was doing, and is now outed for doing, why he never answered Mischa’s question in the first place as to why he didn’t call for help. He was willingly choosing to leave her in agony, and all just to give you what you want.

That is considered you, Christy, are in the full know of what you did in every aspect of this, that you

swayed your own Mate into accusing an innocent person, another Luna at that. It’s clear to us all in this room that you wanted her to not only suffer her heat alone.

“But then blamed her for everything that you put yourself through,” Elder Allen stated for Christy to understand what her own words about how things had been, had just turned the tables on herself and Anthony.

“Anthony now also sees it all, even your part in getting him to accuse me of trying to harm you.” Mischa stated simply.

“I’m sorry, Mischa,” Anthony said softly as he moved Christy off his lap and then turned to face her. “I was blinded, I now see, and I didn’t think it through completely. I can only apologize for it. Christy apologize to Mischa now,” he stated.

“What?” Christy stated. “I was also in pain, and not thinking straight.” She shook her head.

“Then, Christy, you should have kept your mouth closed until you were fully recovered,” Elder Debbie stated flatly.

“The punishment?” Mischa asked of them.

“Mischa please, it was a terrible mistake, is all.” Anthony sighed. “It’ll never happen again.”

“But it will, you just stated you knew and were willing to leave me alone to suffer my heat alone, which sees that you’ll do it again. Your word is no good when it comes to things between myself and Christy. You always choose her.”

She shook her head. “I did nothing wrong at all, and yet you turned me into the perpetrator of a crime that wasn’t even committed. If I hadn’t cleared my name I would have to be punished, yes? Do you know how it feels to be blamed wrongfully by your own mate?

“I’ll tell you how unloved and unwanted is how. If you want right here, right now, voice your rejection of me and only have Christy as your Mate and Luna.” She put right to him what was so obviously clear to all in this room; only who and what he wanted.

“That is not what I want at all. You know this, I have loved you for over 20 years,” he implored her. “Why would you throw that in my face so easily?” He shook his head as if he couldn’t understand her.

She shook her head at him in return. “Tell me, Anthony, what is the pack punishment for causing actual harm and injury to a Luna, in the manner Christy was harmed?” she asked him and stood staring at him pointedly.

It took him less than 20 seconds to go completely ashen before her as he realized it was a death sentence. “I… I…” he shook his head, no.

“Yes, you Alpha accused me of causing intentional harm to your Luna. Even though I am your Luna as well, if I’d not been able to get his investigation and clear my name, you’d have lashed me on the shaming post and injected me with silver to die before the pack. I’d have been seen as a traitor to his very pack.

“A pack that I helped to pull out of the red and rebuild. Have poured my life, blood, sweat and tears into, and all because, you listened to Christy’s trembling words of false accusations against me. So, of course, what other conclusion could, as your Mate, come to from all of this?

“Other than you no longer want me to be your Mate, that this was the way you and Christy opted to deal with me, to see me gone from this pack, from this world in fact.” She stated her thoughts on the matter.

“I don’t want that,” Anthony shook his head at her words, and he stepped towards her. “I was just being selfish during Christy’s heat. Nothing more,” he told her. “I’ll accept the pack punishment the Elders dish out. I had no idea that Christy knew you had nothing to do with it, only reacted as an already upset and struggling wolf who’d harmed his Mate, to words that could be possible, I know you and Christy don’t get along…” he trailed off.

“Yes, that’s right, still blaming me I see, it couldn’t possibly be that Christy set all this up, now could it.” She took a step back and away from him as he reached out to touch her.
