As he said this, Stefan looked ready to leave.

Seeing this, Shane quickly spoke up, “Mr. Bryant, I know I’m asking for more of your time, but hear me out. There’s a place I’d like to take you. I think you’re going to love it.”

Stefan’s eyebrows lifted in curiosity.

He looked at Shane and smiled, “Alright, you’ve got me curious. Lead the way. Let’s see this place.”

Azure Dragon Lake sat on the outskirts of the River City. It was the largest lake in the area, and over time, a park had sprung up around it-Azure Dragon Lake Park.

On weekends and holidays, the place was packed with people. Families, couples, groups of friends-everyone came here to enjoy the outdoors.

When the weather was nice, the park’s grassy areas were covered with tents. Friends hung out, kids ran around, playing tag and laughing.

What most people didn’t know was that there was a private island on Azure Dragon Lake. The island spanned nearly 100,000 square feet-slightly larger than a football field.

A few years back, an anonymous buyer had purchased the island for a hefty sum. They’d transformed it into a lavish estate, carefully designed to fit the island’s natural shape and the surrounding lake views.

They called it Azure Dragon Mansion.

But the identity of the buyer-the true owner of Azure Dragon Mansion-remained a mystery to the people of River City.

Still, anyone with half a brain could figure it out. The owner had to be someone important, someone with serious power.

That night, under the cover of darkness, a private helicopter touched down on the island.

The cabin door opened, and Shane stepped out first, a smile on his face. “Mr. Bryant, we’re here.”

Stefan followed him out. As his feet hit the ground, the lights on the island flickered to life,

was breathtaking, almost magical.

And because the island sat in the middle of the lake, a cool breeze swept through, cutting through the summer heat. Standing there, Stefan didn’t feel the usual oppressive humidity at

all.

Shane led him on a tour, and Stefan praised what he saw, “This place is something else. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design.”

Shane chuckled, “I brought in the best designers from around the world. We went through several concepts before settling on this final version.”

“Shane,” Stefan said, “you clearly know how to live. Buying an island like this, building a traditional garden estate-it must be incredible to live here.”

Shane nodded, then said, “Mr. Bryant, I want to give you this estate.”

Stefan blinked. “Give it to me? Shane, that’s not necessary. This place is your vision, your project. I wouldn’t want to take it from you. Besides, I’m not picky about where I live.”

He meant it. Sure, the island estate was beautiful and elegant, but he didn’t need it.

He already had a place at the Stewart Mansion, plus the villa at the Crown Villas that Nina had given him. He wasn’t short on options.

“Mr. Bryant,” Shane said with a mysterious smile, “don’t say no just yet. Come with me.”

He led Stefan deeper into the estate.

At the main entrance, a line of people waited. They were staff in special uniforms, there to maintain the property.

At the front stood a young woman. She was beautiful, poised, tall, and graceful. When she saw Shane approaching with Stefan, she bowed slightly and said, “Greetings, Mr. Winter.”

Shane nodded. “This is Yvonne Mason,” he said to Stefan. “She’s the head steward here. The rest are the staff. They handle everything on the island.”

Stefan gave a slight nod but didn’t say anything.
