Chapter 194 Black and White Wraiths
Stefan smiled, feeling pleased.
Thank goodness Janet isn’t here to spoil the moment.
“Enough!” Theodore roared, cutting through their embrace.

Theodore was furious. If he let them continue, they would go from hugging to touching, then to kissing–right in front of him. He couldn’t stand it.
Nina yelped and snapped back to reality. She’d gotten carried away by joy.
She usually acted boldly. But when she realized she was in Stefan’s arms in front of everyone, she blushed.
Stefan glared at Theodore, annoyed.
This guy has no sense of romance at all.
I haven’t even held her long enough.
Theodore spoke, still full of confidence, “Stefan, I’ll admit I misjudged you. You took down my Half–step Transcended Sect fighter–that proves you’re a real Transformed Sect Grandmaster.
“A Transformed Sect Grandmaster at your age is almost unheard of in Marevia. I’m offering you a place in the Prescott family. I’ll forget everything that happened. And I’ll give you three, even five times the benefits Nina could give you.”
Theodore was sincere. He wanted to recruit Stefan.
A young Transformed Sect Grandmaster had endless potential–having him on his side would only help.
He didn’t care about the men Stefan had killed.
He’d always seen himself as a strong leader–one who could forgive and employ talent.
Now, Stefan had caught his interest.
He didn’t hate Stefan–not even if Stefan had killed Simon.
Simon’s life never mattered to him; he’d only pretended to look for Simon as a cover.

Stefan shook his head, serious. “The things Nina can give me? You can’t replace them.”

Theodore laughed loudly. “Stefan, you’re underestimating me. Sure, the Reed family is bigger. But once I become head of the Prescott family, I’ll control all of our resources. Nina has too many rivals at home. She’d be lucky to use even ten percent of the Reed family’s power. I can give you far more than she ever could.”
“You’ve got it wrong…” Stefan said, rubbing the back of his neck with a shy grin. “Nina’s legs, her waist, her curves… and her face. How are you gonna give me that?”
Nina giggled, then immediately froze. She realized he was being rude—and she’d laughed!
She frowned, pinched Stefan’s arm, and said, “Stefan, you’re the worst. You only like me for my body, don’t you?”
Stefan didn’t know how to reply. Agreeing sounded cheap, and lying felt fake.
Theodore’s face turned dark. “You’re being an idiot. I gave you a path to the
top, and
you wasted it. Then you die here today. You think being a Transformed Sect Grandmaster makes you special? I have some, too.”
Nina tensed up at his words. She looked at Stefan and asked, “Stefan, Transformed Sect Grandmaster can turn energy into real power–they’re not ordinary. Can you fight them?”
“You trusted me this whole time. Why get worried now?” Stefan asked, grinning calmly.
“Of course I trust you. I just don’t want anything to go wrong,” Nina said, pouting softly.
