Black Wraith snapped out of his shock. He leaped toward the door, desperate to escape.
No way. I have to run away.
White Wraith–Level 2 Transformed Sect Grandmaster–had been taken out in seconds. If he stayed, he’d die, too.
But Stefan saw it coming. He moved faster, cutting Black Wraith off and blocking the door.
Stefan said calmly, “You two make a good pair as Black and White Wraiths in the afterlife. It wouldn’t be the same without one.”
He attacked right away, striking at Black Wraith.
Black Wraith’s right arm was ruined; his power was cut in half. He refused to give up and fought with everything he had, but Stefan pierced his throat with one finger, clean and quick.
Theodore shot to his feet, completely stunned.
His eyes widened, full of disbelief and terror.
He’d brought the Black and White Wraiths to River City on purpose–both were Transformed Sect Grandmasters, and White Wraith was Level 2.
He’d also brought dozens of top Hidden Force Grandmasters.
With this team, Theodore thought he could dominate River City–he’d be completely safe.
But now, the Black and White Wraiths were dead.
These were two elite Transformed Sect Grandmasters–not random nobodies.
Theodore glanced at the bodies lying in pools of blood, then at Stefan. He was even more shocked to find Stefan completely unharmed.
Nina let out a breath and patted her chest, shaken but relieved.
She only relaxed once she saw that Stefan was unhurt.
He’s even stronger than I thought. I can’t figure out his limit.

Stefan looked at Theodore and said, “Quit staring. Got any more tough guys? Send them all out–I’m just warming up.”
Theodore snapped out of it, his face dark with anger, his jaw twitching.
Two Transformed Sect Grandmasters are already extremely rare–and this guy wants more? He is just showing off.
But Theodore had to admit Stefan earned the right to brag. He licked his lips and asked, “Have you… reached the Peak of the Transformed Sect Realm?”
Stefan shook his head, mocking him, “All you see are Transformed Sect Grandmasters. Your view is tiny–pathetic.”
“You!” Theodore was furious but dared not show it. He took a deep breath and said, “Nina got lucky to hook someone like you. I believed the lies–thought you were just a useless ex–con.”
Theodore knew his plan was ruined. He couldn’t keep Stefan and Nina here.
“Mr. Bryant, I was reckless earlier. I’m sorry.” Theodore swallowed his pride and bowed sincerely.
He offered again, “Mr. Bryant, please join the Prescott family. I’ll treat you as an equal and share all my wealth. Money, women, power, status–you can have anything you want.”
“Money? I can make my own.
“Power? I don’t care about it.
“Status is just respect–you earn it.
“As for women…” Stefan paused, pointed at Nina, and asked, “Any as beautiful as her?”
Theodore had no answer–he was speechless.
Nina’s beauty was famous all over Mound City–no one compared. Well, Megan was just as pretty, but even more dangerous.
Theodore couldn’t find anyone younger or more beautiful than Nina–not in Mound City,
anyway.
“Nina, impressive,” Theodore said, sneering. “I thought you were so high and pure. Turns out you were just faking it. You’ll do anything to win Stefan over, huh?”
Nina heard his insult–he was saying she’d used her body to hook Stefan.
