The Ex-Wife's Burning Elegance novel Chapter 2024

Otherwise, she would end up like Israel, tossed aside as a useless pawn.

Though Jonathan felt a flicker of caution toward Aurora, she was presently embroiled in scandal, stripped of her shares, and pregnant. She posed no real threat to him.

Handing over shares was easy; getting them back was an entirely different game.

Jonathan didn't believe Aurora had the power to make any real waves while under his watch.

"What do you think our next move should be?" he asked.

Aurora smiled faintly. "We can mirror Stella's tactics. Didn't she put you in a hospital bed so you wouldn't have time to handle company affairs?

We can easily make sure she's just as overwhelmed."

Jonathan frowned. "I just woke up. If Stella suddenly got into another car accident, it would be far too obvious.

Let alone the Nora faction, even the shareholders loyal to our father would never accept it."

"Staging a car accident is obviously off the table," Aurora replied smoothly. "But making her too distracted to function is incredibly simple."

Jonathan raised an eyebrow. "Oh? You have a good plan?"

Aurora picked up a glass of water from the table and took a slow sip.

"Jonathan, what do you think Stella's weakness is?"

Jonathan thought about it, but he honestly couldn't pinpoint a glaring vulnerability.

The Stella of today was no longer the easy target she had once been.

Seeing Jonathan lost in thought, Aurora didn't keep him guessing.

"Right now, Stella has exactly one weakness, and that is... Keen O'Brien."

Jonathan immediately shook his head. "Father adores Keen. If we rashly make a move against that boy, we'll cross father's bottom line.

In a fit of rage, he might just throw all his support behind Stella."

Aurora laughed softly. "Don't worry, Jonathan. Keen is our nephew. We would never lay a hand on him."

"Then what are you suggesting?" Jonathan asked.
