Abby took one look at her and felt her heart ache.
Unfortunately, Abby's culinary skills were atrocious. She was more likely to burn the kitchen down than whip up a nutritious meal to help Stella recover.
It was all Foreman Richards's fault!
If Foreman hadn't poisoned Stella, her health wouldn't have deteriorated to this devastating state.
In a fit of rage, Abby called the prison and demanded they starve Foreman for a few days.
One afternoon, while Stella was immersed in work, Abby knocked on her door.
"Star, Haynes heard you're recovered and said he wants to see you."
Abby studied Stella's pale face. "He's been in Solmaris for a while now. Do you want to meet with him?"
During her time recovering at Mr. Burton's estate, Stella hadn't seen anyone besides Abby.
Haynes had asked to visit several times, but she had turned him down every single instance.
Left with no other choice, Haynes had temporarily returned home.
Recently, after hearing from Abby that Stella was back at The Williams Group, he had flown over once again.
Haynes had helped Stella immensely during the entire ordeal with Joshua.
Stella agreed. "Alright."
...
By the time Stella arrived at the restaurant, Haynes was already waiting.
She walked over. "Sorry to keep you waiting."
Haynes stood up and pulled out her chair. "You always used to wait for me. From now on, let me be the one waiting for you."
Stella acted as if she hadn't caught the deeper meaning in his words. She murmured a quiet thanks and took the seat across from him.
"I've been sick for a while, so I haven't had the chance to thank you properly for all your help. By the way, how is Keen?"
"Keen is doing great," Haynes said softly. "He threw a fit wanting to come with me this time.
But I was worried about your health, so I made him stay behind.

A person's heart is small; it can't hold too many people.
Thank you for helping me so much, but for the rest of this journey, I'm going to walk alone."
She looked at him with absolute seriousness.
"If you meet someone you like in the future, don't give up your right to pursue happiness just for Keen's sake."
Haynes wasn't about to give up just because of a single rejection.

Who could really predict the future?
However, the thought of recent events cast a heavy shadow over Haynes's brow.
Noticing the shift in his expression, Stella asked, "Did something happen recently? Do you need my help?"

The same rotation blaming Stella trying to get her destroyed. Isn't the writer tired of writing the same foolishness overand over again? This is exhausting....
Can’t wait to see what joshua will do...
Why would the author of this book do that to Stella? Such cruelty!...
So many chapters are incomplete. Missing pages. Hard to get continuity...
