Lucy smiled and nodded. The three of them chatted and laughed as they walked to the elevator, where they ran into Peter, who was also waiting.
Seeing Lucy, Peter immediately smiled and greeted her, "Hi, Lucy!"
But when his gaze landed on Seven, who looked like a miniature copy of Kingsley standing beside her—the smile on his face froze instantly. Only one thought screamed in his mind:
"Lucy is incredible at hiding things. She actually kept such a little angel hidden by her side!"
Seven looked up at Peter with his big, bright eyes and greeted him politely in German: "Guten Tag. (Good day.)"
Peter snapped back to reality, quickly hiding his shock and responding fast, "Guten Tag. (Good day.)"
Lucy lowered her eyes and patted Seven’s head, speaking gently, "Seven, go up now, okay? Mommy needs to say a few words to this sir. I'll be right there."
"Okay! Mama, be quick," Seven nodded obediently.
The elevator doors slowly opened, and the nanny led Seven inside.
The little guy didn't forget to raise his small hand, waving goodbye to Lucy and Peter.
Peter watched the elevator doors close, his heart still pounding like stormy waves. Kingsley actually had such a cute son. This was practically a surprise reward from God!
The moment the elevator doors sealed, Lucy’s tone turned ice-cold. She got straight to the point:
"Pretend you didn't see what you saw today. You've heard of a 'mother's instinct'—push me too far, and even I don't know what I might do."
Peter looked at the resolve in her eyes and sighed. "You can't hide this forever. Besides, Kingsley plans to win you back anyway."
