The Ex-Wife's Triumph novel Chapter 215

After Lucy was gone, Peter thought to himself that this woman was every bit as fierce as Kingsley.

Right now, he would rather risk offending his brother than provoke this woman.

His mood for a date vanished instantly. He turned around and left.

Meanwhile, as soon as Seven entered the indoor playground, he was as jubilant as a foal let loose.

Watching him, a pang of guilt rose in Lucy's heart—had she kept him cooped up at home for too long?

By the slide, Seven climbed up and slid down over and over again. The smile on his cheeks never faltered, his eyes filled with pure joy.

The nanny watched and said softly, "Last time Mr. Holt brought him here, I don't think I saw him this happy."

Hearing this, a faint smile rippled on Lucy’s lips, though her mind was already quietly calculating another matter.

After playing like crazy for over an hour, Seven’s energy was almost depleted.

Just after lunch, sleepiness washed over him.

He lifted his little arms toward Lucy, calling out in a soft, sticky voice, "Mama, sleepy!"

Lucy immediately gathered him into her arms, her voice warm and wrapping around him like a blanket. "Sleep now. Mama is holding you."

The three of them paid the bill and went straight home with the sleeping Seven.

Even after arriving home, Seven slept deeply.

Just as Lucy placed him gently on the bed, the phone in her pocket vibrated.

She carefully tucked the blanket around the child, walked softly out of the room, and then pressed the answer button.

Jules's voice came through immediately. "Are you home? I was going to take Seven out to play."

"He already played. He's sleeping right now," Lucy replied, a smile in her voice.

Jules continued, "By the way, is everything ready for the vacation?"
