Chapter 285 Overwhelmed
“Why is your company refusing shipping orders to Planet A001? What’s your reason?
“Show us your so–called risk assessment report!”
“This is business discrimination! Or did someone take a bribe to make things difficult on purpose?”
“You must reopen the route! Otherwise, we’ll boycott all of your company’s services!”

“My family business ships goods worth hundreds of millions through you every year. If you don’t give a proper explanation and reopen the A001 route, our partnership is over!”
The customer service lines were overloaded and nearly shut down. The operatorywere overwhelmed. All they could say was repeat weak lines like “company policy” and “for safety reasons.” They had no way to deal with the angry crowd.
Some small and medium–sized shipping company owners were even more anxious.
They never expected that just following a hint from “higher up” to reject a seemingly unimportant order from Garbage Planet would trigger such a huge backlash and potential business threat.
After talking with each other in private, these owners all ended up passing their complaints and pressure to the person who first gave them the message–the manager of the Seafarm Group.
“Mr. Blanton, this thing has blown up! Our complaint lines are about to crash, and some of our old clients are threatening to cancel!”
“Mr. Blanton, you told us it was just a small issue, just block it casually. How is this a small issue now? Our company’s reputation is
at risk!”
“Seafarm has to give us an explanation, or at least show some responsibility. We’re under too much pressure. We can’t hold on!“ Rufus Blanton, the person in charge of this matter at Seafarm Group, was a little surprised when he got these complaint calls. Cutting off Tycoon Farm’s shipping route was Seafarm’s second move, aftek manipulating StarNet public opinion,
And Planet A001’s location made it convenient for them to operate.
They just didn’t expect the farm’s customers to react so strongly, or to have this much influence.
Still, despite the surprise, Seafarm was very confident.
Facing the shipping company owners‘ complaints and subtle demands, Rufus spoke calmly over the call, “Everyone, relax, this i just a small public noise. Those complaints from ordinary people won’t really hurt your businesses. They’re just noisy. A boycott? How much shipping demand do they really? Can it compare to Seafarm’s yearly cargo volume?”
Then he shifted tone and offered the real reassurance, “Here’s the deal. To thank you all for your cooperation this time, and for our long–term partnership, our company will give priority to you for all bulk agricultural shipping orders over the next three quarters–including several new interstellar routes we’re opening. We can discuss the exact shares slowly
The moment he said this, the anxious voices on the communicator vanished. replaced by excitement and revet they contain.

Now that’s what I call real support, Mr. Blanton!”
“Seafarm Group is truly generous!”
“With your word, we feel at ease!”
“A small issue like this? We can handle it. It won’t affect our partnership with Seafarra at all!”
That’s right. Complaints and boycotts from ordinary people meant very little to these companies that controlled shipping routes.
But the long–term, bulk shipping contracts Seafarm Group offered were the real deal. They meant performance, profit, and stock prices.
When comparing the two, the choice was obvious.
After ending the call, the unease and pressure in the shipping company owners‘ minds instantly disappeared. Some even felt a bit proud.
This deal was worth it!
As for the farm owner stuck on Planet A001 and her supporters?
Let them make a fuss. They weren’t getting any ships anyway.
At Seafarm Group, inside a luxury office with a wide view of the bustling cityscape.
Rufus held a glass of red wine, leaning back leisurely in a leather chair. A screen in front of him showed the latest notice from the Interstellar Tycoon, announcing the cancellation of the market event.
A smug smile played at the corner of his mouth as his fingers tapped lightly on the crystal glass, making a crisp, ringing sound.
“Jordan, take a look,” he said, tilting his chin toward his assistant, Jordan Ledger, sitting across on the couch. His tone was light, and pleased. “It only took a few ships, and Mrs. Hewitt is already out of options! Hah, she acted so tough before. I thought she had some powerful backup.”
Jordan leaned in closer to the screen and looked carefully. He also showed a look of relief and satisfaction. “My Blanton, you really saw this coming. Just a small hint and a little reward for those shipping companies, and her path is completely blocked. Without ships, no matter how good her potatoes and sweet potatoes grow, they’re just going to rot out there on Planet A001
“Rot?” Rufus sneered, taking a sip of his wine. “I doubt they’ll even get the chance to rot. Planet A001 is full of radiation dust and scrap metal. The soil was ruined a long time ago. I heard that her farm managed to grow something before probably just dumb luck. Maybe she found a small patch that wasn’t completely contaminated, or used some kind of special isolation technique. But that kind of method must be very expensive, and it can’t cover much land. Now that she can’t sell her goods and can’t get money back, how is she going to keep it going?”
