“No transit value, huh?”

Indeed, Planet A001 didn’t have any value before. It was just a barren land where nothing grew, covered in trash, not even a single settlement.
But that was before.
Now, her farm was up and running. Yields of fruits and vegetables were doubling, and orders were piling up from the military all the way to the civilian market. Potatoes couldn’t keep up with demand. Tomatoes were getting snapped up. Strawberries were sold out the moment they were picked.
And that was supposed to be “no transit value“?
Anyone with eyes could tell whether it had value.
So, it wasn’t about the review process. Someone was deliberately blocking her.
Who did that? Seafarm Group? Unlikely.
It was true they didn’t get along, but Elizabeth knew exactly how much authority they had. A low–level functionary in some agricultural trade association didn’t have the reach to meddle with the Kingdom Interstellar Route Authority.
So, who had the power and a reason to go after her?
Elizabeth only needed three seconds to land on the answer.
The Fifth Military.
Her conflict with them wasn’t exactly huge, but it wasn’t nothing either.
Back then, she’d blacklisted quite a few people who were acting in the Fifth Military’s name.
It hadn’t been personal. She wasn’t targeting them specifically. Anyone who tried to smear her or sabotage her got blacklisted. Plenty of others besides the Fifth Military were on that list as well.
Still, she hadn’t expected an entire military division to be that petty. They actually came after her over something like that.
On paper, the Kingdom Interstellar Route Authority was, an independent agency. In reality, the military’s influence was everywhere.
If the Fifth Military wanted to block a small–time farm owner like her, it would take nothing more than a single order.
Elizabeth leaned back in her chair, staring up at the ceiling for a while.
A military wasn’t something she could afford to take on right now.
But…
She suddenly sat up straight, her eyes lighting up.
She might not be able to take them on, but she knew someone who could.

She quickly pulled up her device, scrolled through her contacts, and found Zaylee’s number. Taking a deep breath, she adjusted her expression and placed the call
The connection went through quickly.
On the other end appeared a poised, elegant face. Zaylee was seated in a room filled with flowers and plush cushions. Her posture was so refined that it looked like something out of a painting.
“Eliza?” Zaylee smiled when she saw her. “What brings you to me at this hour? Is there a staffing issue?”
Elizabeth didn’t answer right away.
First, her lips trembled. Then, her eyes reddened instantly, and a tear rolled slowly down her cheek.
“Mrs. Zaylee…” Her voice came out soft and quivering, like a small animal that had just been bullied.
Zaylee set down her teacup and straightened. “What happened? Who bullied you?”
Sniffling, Elizabeth recounted everything–from applying for a private route to support her farm’s growth, to the cold, impersonal rejection by calling it “lacking transit value,” to her own assessment of the farm’s worth, and finally to her growing belief that someone was deliberately blocking her.
By the time she finished, her eyes were brimming with tears, looking utterly pitiful.
“I just want people across the kingdom to taste what our farm produces,” she said, sniffling. “The potatoes are so good, the tomatoes are so sweet, the strawberries smell amazing… But because someone doesn’t want us to open a route, ordinary people in the kingdom might never get to try them…”
Zaylee’s expression changed.
It wasn’t into rage, but into something quieter. She looked so calm that it felt like a storm about to break–the kind that made anyone’s skin crawl.
“You’re saying their reason was ‘no transit value‘?”
Elizabeth nodded, another tear slipping down.
“Planet A001 has no transit value?” Zaylee let out a soft laugh. Even Elizabeth shivered at the sound. “Good, Very good. I’d love to hear them explain what does count as transit value.”
She lifted a hand and brushed her hair back–graceful as ever, but her voice had turned icy. “Don’t cry, Eliza. I’ll handle this for you.”
Elizabeth blinked, tears still clinging to her lashes, but she was already grinning inside.
“Mrs. Zaylee, please don’t get mad at those people because of me. They… they might be from the Fifth Military…”
“So what?” Zaylee let out a cold laugh. “Does that mean they can lie with a straight face? That they can bully a young girl who’s worked so hard to build her farm? The Fifth Military, is it? Noted.”
Inside, Elizabeth felt a surge of satisfaction, but her face remained as pitiful as ever. “Thank you, Mrs. Zaylee… I–I don’t even know how to repay you…”
“Repay me for what? Your problem is my problem. For all we know, maybe the Fifth Military targeted you because of our connections.” Zaylee’s expression softened, a hint of fondness in her gaze. “Alright, stop crying. Go get some rest and wait for my
