Elizabeth’s heart lurched. She wondered for a moment if Zaylee might think she was overstepping
Carefully, she replied, “Yes. I just… felt a bit wronged and wanted to talk about it… and also explain to some long–time customers who can’t come to Planet A001 why I can’t set up stall on Centria Planet anymore”
There was a two–second pause. Then a message came through. “Well done. Keep posting. Let everyone see what certain people have been doing.”
It was followed by a thumbs–up emoji.
Elizabeth froze for a second, then she actually laughed out loud.
For some reason, she suddenly remembered a saying.
“When people are wronged, they shouldn’t keep it inside. If they do, they’ll get sick. They should speak up and let everyone know. As for who’s right and who’s wrong, people can judge for themselves.”
The ancients were right.
She looked back down at the comment section that was still updating at insane speed, and her lips curled again.
The Fifth Military, huh? Just wait.
This is only the appetizer.
After posting, Elizabeth felt thoroughly satisfied and went off to the cafeteria for dinner.
What she didn’t know was that the storm on Starnet had only just begun.
Ordinary users being angry was one thing. They could complain, repost, and tag official accounts. That kind of noise usually stayed at that level.
But what truly jolted the Director of the Kingdom Interstellar Route Authority, Maverick Jensen, out of bed in the middle of the night was an entirely different group of people.
These were people who would never make a sound on Starnet. But their numbers on his device? Not a single one of those calls could he afford to ignore.
The first call came two hours after the post went up.
At that time, Maverick had just finished a pile of paperwork and was preparing to leave work.
When his device rang, he glanced at the caller ID and froze.
It was Henry Russell, secretary to the chairman of Angeltide Group.
Angeltide Group was one of the top five companies in the kingdom’s business world. Its industries spanned nearly half a sector- truly a wealth beyond imagination.

More Importantly, it also covered more than half of the Route Authority’s sponsorship funding. It was a major client.
Calling at this hour? Is it about next year’s cooperation projects?

Thinking that, Maverick quickly answered, automatically putting on a warm smile. “Mr. Russeft, it’s so late now. Is there something urgent?”
“I’ll get straight to the point.” Henry’s voice came through the line, deferential but with a layer of practiced courtesy to it. “Our chairman asked me to inquire about something. Why was the private route application for the farm on Planet A001 rejected? Was there some issue?”
Maverick clearly hadn’t expected that question. His smile froze.
“Planet A001? That’s just a resource–poor garbage planet. We decided according to standard procedures…”
“I see.” Henry chuckled. There was a trace of barely noticeable mockery in the sound. “You should know our chairman ordered a batch of strawberries from that farm last month and sent them to his mother. She’s over 90 and can barely eat anything anymore. But she can eat half a bowl of those strawberries at a time. Do you know what she said? She said if she could eat them every day, she might live a few dozen more years.”

“Uh…” Maverick opened his mouth, but he couldn’t find words.
Henry’s tone remained courteous. “So, our chairman sincerely hopes you’ll take another look. See whether Planet A001 truly has value. Or if not, what does count as value? If there’s anything we can do to help define it properly, Angeltide Group would be more than willing to assist.”
The call ended.
Maverick held his device, a thin layer of cold sweat forming on his forehead.
He couldn’t even make sense of what was happening. He even tried to convince himself that no matter how powerful a commercial group was, it still didn’t have authority over a government agency, and he had nothing to be afraid of. But then, his device rang again.
This time, the name on the caller ID made cold sweat break out across his back.
It was Luke Pacheco.
He was a member of the kingdom’s Upper House, overseeing agricultural and commercial affairs.
“Mr. Jensen, sorry to bother you.” Luke’s voice was calm and refined, sounding almost like he was making casual small talk. “Still working this late? You’ve had a long day.”
Maverick let out an awkward laugh. “Senator Pacheco, you’re too kind. It’s just part of the job.”
“Part of the job?” Luke chuckled. “Then I suppose I should also ask–how exactly was the private route application for the farm o Planet A001 rejected?”
