The First Legendary Beast Master novel Chapter 1499

Chapter 1499: Elf Grass

Jin led them over to the library, a beautifully artistic design five stories tall that didn’t seem to match any of the other architecture in the compound.

"This library was built only two hundred years ago by one of our members, who felt that they could revolutionize architectural style.

That didn’t pan out.

However, the library is a work of art, and it holds all the common books that anyone could wish to read.

It is open to all of our members, even the Mortal servants have access to the Library. You will find everyone there at some point, researching something that might help their growth.

It also has the historical books copied, and they’re quite commonly useful when looking for rare resources.

Sometimes you’ll see people in here every day for months, looking for a super rare resource like black elf grass, or rumours of where it was seen growing in the past so that they can go on a trip to go look for it.

If they can find a resource like that, they can make a breakthrough, or perhaps complete a super rare alchemical concoction."

"Is it that rare?" Dana asked.

"Black Elf Grass? It’s a legendary lost magical plant. So many ancient recipes need it, but it no longer exists. I spent twenty years looking for it without finding any." Jin replied with a deep sigh.

Dana smirked and Karl reached into Thor’s space, where the plant grew as a weed.

"Here. It’s only Mythic Rank, but I’ve got a bunch. You didn’t need the roots, did you?"

The dragon stared at them.

The people passing by stared at them.

The guard at the Library gate stared at them.

"What? I’ve been growing it in the garden at the Guild House for years."

That was the first time that Karl had ever seen someone actually spit up blood in rage. The sight was equal parts concerning and fascinating. Especially for Rae, who wondered if there was a special technique to make them do that on demand.

It was practically a free donation.

Jin stared at the grass in his hand. "I can really have this?"

Karl nodded. "I’ve got enough, call it a first meeting gift."

The other Immortals glared at Jin, who was holding his treasure with a level of reverence usually reserved for holy relics and babies. It was much more entertaining than Dana had expected, and she knew that nobody would miss it when most of the beasts had acres of it in their spaces.

It was just too good as a base plant to support other magical resources.

They were about to drag Jin into the Library when a short man with a long white beard came running up.

"The disciples tell me that you have black elf grass." The man gasped.

"Indeed I do. Did you need to purchase some?" Karl agreed.
