The First Legendary Beast Master novel Chapter 1577

Chapter 1577: Biome Upgrades

Karl turned to the shelves of goods that the sailors had brought in, and found that there were dozens of rare plants, seeds for Immortal World resources, and other curiosities that weren’t things he could make for himself.

The Tiny World and the beast spaces all needed upgrades to their biome, and some new plants were never a bad option.

Almost everything that they had was brought from the mortal world, and for Remi in particular, that was no longer going to be sufficient. She needed new alchemy resources for her work, and if she didn’t grow them herself, they were both expensive and annoying to get.

Whoever thought that needing to go to the counter to buy things instead of having them ordered into your Alchemy Lab was a good idea needed a good slap.

Especially now that she was a tiny snake again. Her Lamia form risked being stepped on all the time if she wasn’t flying, and she liked the feel of ground under her scales.

What she needed was an apprentice. She could send apprentices to go get things on her account.

Unfortunately, most of the Bunnies were afraid of snakes, an innate aversion to venomous creatures. So, while they would bring her things she asked for, they didn’t come to seek her out the way that they came looking for Karl.

Opal fluttered around Karl’s head as she realized that she could help with this. If she cast an Illusionary Domain around Remi, she wouldn’t risk being stepped on as she travelled.

Others would simply step from one side of the illusion to the other.

[Or she could just send her bodyguards to go get her stuff.] Thor noted.

Right. Why hadn’t she thought of that? They were perfectly good assistants, but she hadn’t had them out since she arrived in the Immortal world. She was slacking, forgetting everything but her alchemy work.

At Immortal Rank, the bodyguards were very similar to their old appearance, four armed Naga Warriors with simple golden armour on blue bodies. But now they had the option to wear accessories and other gear.

They could always use weapons that weren’t part of the spell, but they didn’t benefit from other gear, it was just a decoration if they put it on.

Now, she could load them up with good stuff from Karl’s stockpile of stuff, and they would be extra effective combatants. Remi didn’t expect anyone to challenge them, though.

Picking fights with random Naga Warriors was a quick way to end up in pain.

The staff at the counter did a double take as the Naga slid in the back door and took his place in line, holding a piece of parchment in one of his hands.

"Sir, is there something we can help you with?" The clerk asked, wondering where this burly Naga had come from.

{Miss Remi asked us to get her ingredients. I have a note.}

[I need stuff. Put it on my account...] Then a list of common alchemy plants, with Remi’s signature at the bottom.

The Clerk laughed at the terrible handwriting on the note. Remi was perfectly capable of making precisely formed runes for her runic alchemy, but when she wrote a note, it was a barely legible scribble of cursive script.

Was it a mandatory feature of being a doctor, perhaps?

All of the healing specialized alchemists had terrible handwriting, but most of them didn’t know how to write in Runic, so they had never had to do more than write order sheets.
