Chapter 1601: Can’t Use The Door

Karl sighed. "I take it that things are getting violent outside the Dungeon, in excess of what would be considered normal for the trials that are always placed for Dungeons like this?"

"Yes.

The Almeixei Sect has sent their Sect Leader to secure the area. Which naturally enraged the Alhos, Ponha and Telha Sects.

The whole region is starting to turn into a standoff, with none of the groups willing to let anyone through. We’ve got two groups of Elders waiting to enter the Dungeon right now, and it doesn’t look like they are going to get in any time soon.

That is why I came to you.

You have a way to get in, do you not? If you got out without anyone noticing, you should have a way back in."

Karl frowned. He had never considered that. Technically, he should be able to open a portal into the Dungeon Trial. However, most of them had some sort of magic on the entrance, so he wasn’t sure what would happen if they entered by another method.

"Possibly? Entering a Trial is a tricky sort of thing. Bypassing the proper entrance might not produce a desirable outcome.

There is a chance that they will end up in the empty instance that we created the last time that we entered, or one from the last time they entered, or perhaps even just the most recently created one, which would cause even more issues if the group was full."

The Clan Leader sighed. "Alright. In that case, I would like you to take Forsham with you and test the theory first.

If you can get in without being detected, that is perfect. If you can try to clear a few monsters in the instance you enter, that’s even better. The Elder will report back, but I suggest that only the two of you go on this trip.

Minimizing the risk of a larger group being noticed by the Clan Leaders outside is best."

Karl nodded. "Well, that is good logic. I can try to open a portal to the dungeon location. I know where it is, I was just there. If I place it right inside the door, the risks are low, and we will find out if it brings us to a new instance."

Clan Leader Nerissa motioned for Karl to start.

A portal was an easy thing to create, and while Alhos was on the far edge of the majority of most Immortals’ ability to open one without a destination array, it shouldn’t be restricted if they arrived within the dungeon.

Karl stared at the portal that had just opened. It wasn’t showing anything on the other side at all.

So, the first thing he did was poke a spear through it.

There was no restriction, and nothing happened to the weapon when he retracted it.

"I guess it’s just dark in there right now. Or the difference in locations stops me from seeing through. Here goes nothing."

Karl stepped through before they could stop him, and found himself standing at the entrance to a fresh instance.
