Chapter 1694: Chain Of Command

None of the top Elders were in the Clan at the moment, which left a bit of a void of leadership. But there was a process for this, and the disciples of the Elders, the lower Ascended Immortals, took charge of the regions that their mentor was responsible for in their stead.

Hopefully, the Elders would be back in the next few hours, anyhow. The Clan Leader could use a powerful enough portal to take them right to Gralpedrin.

The destruction was nearly complete, and most were checking for their valuables in the rubble, only to find that most of it was gone.

"Clan members! We have recovered the majority of the Clan’s valuables from the invaders. They will be turned over to the Resource Warehouse in the morning. So, if you had anything valuable in a house that is now destroyed, you are likely to get it back." Karl shouted as they passed through the mostly destroyed residential area nearest the docks.

That brought some cheering, and the word spread quickly through the Clan that someone had protected their belongings.

The summoned Seraphim were tempted to tell them that if the badger had just left everything where it was, they would have it now, but refrained from causing trouble.

It would only cause more chaos, and that was anathema to their species.

Karl opened the apartment door, which nearly fell off its hinges. The barriers on the inside of the house had held up, barely, but the outside of the apartment was in bad shape.

"I will fix the house before I join you all," Leo decided.

"I will assist him. Let my Tessa know that I will be late." Thor agreed.

Tian hopped up on Thor’s shoulder. He could use Earth Magic, so he was the best of them to fix things. Leo could do the wooden shingles, and the door, but not the stone of the building.

At least not as well as Tian could.

And then there were all the neighbours. They should have snacks and head pats. Tian was a fan of both of those things, and helping rebuild their homes would surely earn him at least some affection.

Once they were in the Tiny World, Yewan came out of the Pet Space, his eyes excited.

"{Oh Em Gee!@ That was amazing. There was everything! Everything, and I got to see it all from that space. I understand so much now. So much!}"

The winged Supreme smiled and scritched the little dragon’s head. "I see that the hatchling had his first true taste of what death energy is like. Are you bonded to the Beast Master?

Or former Beast Master, I suppose, since his class has changed."

Yewan shrugged. "{He created the place that is home, so I guess so? I don’t know how that works, but I think I can change my God’s opinion about him not being allowed to have a baby dragon.}"
