Below the main stage, several rows of seats had been set up. Nameplates were neatly placed on the tables. Aside from the school leaders, there were department heads, professors, teachers, and a number of invited guests
People were already making their way in from the red carpet, one after another.
Ethan arrived with Sebastian. Sebastian had an amused look as he said, “Alright, Justice Brock, hurry up and get to your seat.”
Ethan had come as a special guest this time. Hearing the teasing in Sebastian’s voice, he gave him a calm glance before walking toward his seat.
Not long after, Keith arrived. The moment he stepped into the venue, his sharp gaze landed on Ethan in the guest section.
Keith lifted a brow with a faint smile and walked over to greet him.
After a short exchange, Keith headed to his own seat. Once seated, he set up a privacy barrier with his mental power, then opened their five person group chat.
Keith typed, “Ethan and I are here. Where are you guys?”
Mason replied, “At the school gate.”
Ryan said, “On the way.”
Laurent added, “Almost there.”
Keith sent back, “Alright, take your time.”
A few minutes later, Mason showed up at the venue. He scanned the crowd and quickly spotted Keith and Ethan. He gave Keith a small nod before heading toward the guest seating.
After sitting down, he realized his seat was right behind Ethan.
Mason leaned back slightly with a relaxed smile. “Ava is backstage?”
Ethan nodded. “She should be getting ready. She hasn’t replied to my message yet.”
Mason raised a brow. “Same here. She hasn’t replied to me either.”
They chatted for a bit longer, then let the conversation drop. More people continued to enter the venue. Before the show officially began, everyone found familiar faces and chatted casually.
When Ryan appeared at the end of the red carpet, it immediately stirred up a wave of excitement among the students.
“What’s going on? Why is someone from the entertainment industry here? That’s Ryan Brock. Why is he here?”
“Seriously, I’m a senior, and this is my first time seeing so many big names at the welcome gala!”
“Honestly, it’s gotta be because of Princess Tylissa. With her background, people are obviously showing up just to see bec
Voires overlapped as the chatter spread through the crowd.

Ethan caught sight of his younger brother, and a faint smile showed in his eyes. Mason gave Ryan a once–over, clearly amused by his flashy outfit, and let out a quiet chuckle.
Ryan took his seat on the opposite side. There were several people between him and Ethan and Mason, He gave them a small nod instead of going over to talk.
After sitting down, Ryan lowered his head and opened his Holoband. When he saw that Ava still hadn’t replied, his fingers moved again.as he typed, “I’m already here. Ava, good luck!”
Laurent was the last to arrive. There were only a few minutes left before the show started. He had already changed out of his flight suit and walked in wearing a crisp military uniform. His seat had been arranged with the school leadership section.
After Laurent sat down, Callum came over and chatted with him for a bit.
By then, it was fully dark outside. The lights by the lake lit up the entire area. As the music stopped, the hosts of the gala walked onto the stage one after another.
The hosts‘ voices carried from the front. Backstage, the performers who were about to go on took deep breaths, unable to hide their excitement.
Ava and the others were still gathered together. Their performances were scheduled later, so Zoey was the first to go on. Zoey looked nervous, She worried she might forget her lines, so she quickly pulled out her script and went over it again. Noelle, on the other hand, looked completely relaxed. She felt no pressure about her performance. Instead, she took photos of herself from different angles and sent them to her family group chat. Soon enough, compliments started pouring in.
Naomi stayed for a bit, then checked the time. “I’m going to find my teammates first. Good luck, everyone!”
Ava picked up her lute case and set it aside. “Noelle, help me keep an eye on my lute later.”
Noelle answered right away, “Got it! With me here, no one’s getting anywhere near your lute.”
After saying that, Noelle hurried over to Ava. Ava’s makeup was already done, but she hadn’t changed into her costume yet. She was still in her own clothes.
Noelle looked her up and down, clearly impressed. “Ava, you’re seriously something else. You’re smart, you can play the lute, and you can dance. If I were a guy, I’d be all over you.”
Zoey looked up at that and cut in, “Yeah, keep dreaming. If you were actually a guy and tried to go after Ava, I’d shut that down real fast.”
