Chapter 310 Always Getting Called On
Chapter 310 Always Getting Called On
Joselyn twirled a strand of hair around her finger and rolled her eyes hard, silently complaining in her head.
He’s way too nosy. It’s not like I kissed his wife anyway!
“Class starts now!” Keith ordered.
Ava glanced at Keith on the lectern and quickly straightened up, sitting properly.

After taking attendance, he spent a few minutes going over the previous lesson. Then he threw out a question, but no one raised a hand.
Standing at the front, he scanned the room and finally called out, “Joselyn, you answer this.”
Joselyn froze the moment her name was called. She looked at Keith nervously, then kept flicking her eyes toward Ava, trying to get some hints.
“Stop making faces like that. Are your facial muscles twitching or something?” he asked.
“Um… Professor Holcomb, I’m still thinking. Give me a second.” She kept glancing at Ava as she said it.
Ava flipped open her notebook, resting her chin on one hand while lightly tapping a line with her finger.
Joselyn instantly perked up, locked onto where Ava was pointing, and started reading it out.
After she finished answering, Keith said, “Sit down. Pay attention in class. Don’t rely on your seatmate the moment you get stuck. In the final exam, there won’t be anyone there to feed you answers.”
Joselyn sat back down properly, fully aware that he had seen everything she and Ava had just done. Her expression turned a little
awkward.
For the rest of the class, Ava felt completely on edge. Keith had walked up and down the aisle several times and even stood right beside her for a while.
Joselyn kept glaring at him while he was next to Ava. The moment he turned away, she quickly sat up straight again and pretended to be fully focused.
When class finally ended, she waved at Ava and bolted out of the room like a gust of wind.
This stupid elective is seriously the worst. I don’t even want to take it anymore. Professor Holcomb is clearly targeting me. He called on me so many times in this class just to make me answer questions. It’s honestly so annoying. And seriously, we don’t keep picking on the same person over and over like that.
Ava was packing up her notebook while sneaking a glance at the front. Keith was shutting down the slides, and just as she looked over, his eyes landed on her.
She coughed lightly and immediately looked away.
“Ava!”
“Professor Holcomb,” she answered obediently.

“Next time, don’t help your seatmate with answers. If she doesn’t understand the material, she’s the one who’ll fail the final.”
“Yes, I understand, Professor Hoteomb.
Dario had already packed up his things as well. This time, he didn’t walk over to talk to Ava. He only glanced at her from a distance before leaving the classroom.
Keith looked around the room and raised a brow. “You all still not done? Planning to camp here or something?”
The young guys had been dreaming about walking out of class with their goddess, but his words crushed that fantasy instantly. They could even feel the faint pressure coming off him.
n seconds, they were gone without a trace.
Iva slung her shoulder bag and looked at Keith. “What did you do? Why are they so scared of you?”
I didn’t do anything,” he said lightly. “What could I have done?”
He pulled a wet wipe from his bag and gently wiped her face.
Is there something on my face?” she asked.
Yeah,” he replied, a little pointed.
le tossed the wet wipe away, put on his mask, and hooked his jacket over his arm. “Let’s go.”
va said, “Do you have another mask? Give me one.”
le smiled. “What do you need a mask for?”
he shot him a look. “Thanks to you guys, I’m basically a walking spotlight on campus now.”
le took out a matching mask from his pocket, tore it open, and helped her put it on. Watching her wear the same mask as him, his yes curved slightly. “Does this count as couple masks?”
‘hey walked through the university campus together, a light breeze brushing past them.
wa stayed quiet. Keith did too, simply holding her hand.
She walked him to the parking lot and watched as he got into the light–armored vehicle before waving to him.
Only after his vehicle started moving did she turn and head back to the dorm.
Once she got back, Ava took off her mask and placed it on the cabinet by the entrance. She changed into indoor slippers, tossed ner bag onto the couch, and opened her Holoband.
There was a club–wide announcement in the Calligraphy Club group chat, tagging everyone. “There will be a club activity tomorrow afternoon. Those without classes are encouraged to attend. Let’s welcome our club president back from competition.”
She raised a brow. After being in the Calligraphy Club for so long, this was the first time she had ever seen an organized activity. She had also heard their club president had been away competing for a while and hadn’t been back on campus, so everything had
been on hold.

Ava closed the group chat and then saw a message from Austin that had been sent over an hour ago. “Ava, are you free lately? I made a few more vintage outfits based on your measurements. About the shoot, the museum has approved it unanimously. I’ll send you the contract later for you to take a look at.”
