The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 420

Ella watched what was happening inside the room. The girl in the red dress looked up at David with eyes full of longing, and David was gazing right back at her. He really never had a shortage of admirers.

Ella turned away. “Okay, that’s enough. There’s nothing between me and him anymore. Even Jessa hasn’t said anything, so I really don’t have a reason to care. Let’s go.”

She led Fiona and Lilly out of the room. Ella disappeared into the restroom while Fiona and Lilly waited outside.

Fiona shook her head. “David is getting off way too easy.”

Suddenly, Lilly’s eyes lit up. “Wait, I have an idea.” She pulled out her phone, scrolled to a cute photo of Ella, and quickly posted it on her social media. The caption read, “Single girl, urgently looking for a boyfriend.”

After sending it, Lilly grinned and winked. “Now that David has a girl in his lap, it’s only fair that we help Ella find a boyfriend online. I can’t wait to see his reaction when he comes across this.”

Fiona gave her a big thumbs up. “Lilly, you’re a genius.”

Lilly laughed. “Obviously.”

Suddenly, Fiona remembered something. “Wait, do you even have David’s info?”

Lilly hesitated, then fibbed with a straight face. “Yeah, we added each other back when Ella and I were roommates.”

Inside the fancy private room, David sat unfazed by the playful teasing from the executives around him. He glanced down at the girl in red, who was still leaning against him. “Are you going to get up on your own, or should I have someone escort you out?”

The girl froze. She was the top dancer here, used to being adored by everyone. She’d fallen for David at first sight, certain he’d be smitten with her, but he couldn’t have cared less. Instead, he’d just shot her down completely.

She scrambled to her feet. “I’m so sorry, Mr. Harmon…”

David’s expression was cold and distant. “Leave.”

She hurried away without another word.

One of the executives chuckled. “Looks like Mr. Harmon isn’t into the girls here.”

Short. Direct. Just his style.

Lilly saw the message right away and burst out laughing. Fiona laughed with her. “He’s freaking out. Mr. Harmon is seriously freaking out.”

Just then, Ella came out of the restroom. “What are you two up to?”

Lilly put her phone away. “Nothing. Let’s head back, Ella.”

Ella nodded. “Sure.”

The three of them walked past the restaurant’s bar. Inside, heavy metal music was pounding and the crowd was wild—guys and girls everywhere, dancing like nobody was watching.

Two girls rushed past them, giggling. “Hurry, hurry! He is here tonight. Did you see his body? We’re in for a show!”
