The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 433

Jace pulled the blanket over his face, wanting nothing more than to disappear. He had no words and no interest in talking.

Of course. The first time he ever tried something like this, he got busted instantly. Just his luck.

Lilly didn’t let it slide. She reached over and yanked the blanket away, her voice soft but persistent. “Jace, talk to me. Why were you watching that kind of video?”

Jace lay sprawled on his back, one long leg dangling off the bed. He looked almost lazy, but there was something wild in the way he carried himself, a kind of restless energy that always simmered right beneath the surface.

As Lilly tugged at the blanket, she ended up leaning over him, her whole body pressing against his. Jace stopped trying to save face and just gave in. “Yeah, I watched it. So what?”

Lilly stared at him, completely thrown off by how shameless he was. “You’re unbelievable.”

Jace met her gaze, his eyes flicking over her small, delicate face. “You can leave if you want.”

“I’m not going anywhere.”

“Then what do you want?”

“I want to watch too.”

That got his attention. Jace squinted at her, then made a grab for his phone, trying to keep it out of her reach.

But Lilly was faster. She’d already opened the video, curiosity lighting up her features. She honestly hadn’t seen anything like it before, and she wanted to know what all the fuss was about.

“Lilly!” Jace tried to snatch the phone back, but Lilly wriggled away. They ended up tangled together on the bed, rolling back and forth. Jace ended up behind her, his arms loosely around her waist, holding her close.

Lilly glanced up at him, her eyelashes fluttering. “Let’s watch it together, Jace.”

Jace just looked at her, silent and tense.

Lilly pressed play.

He lay back again, staring at the ceiling, wondering how things had spun so far out of control. He’d just wanted a quiet moment alone. He never expected her to barge in and turn his whole night upside down.

Before he could process any of it, Lilly climbed on top of him, her cheeks glowing pink. She bit her lip and leaned down, kissing him softly.

Jace nodded, even though she couldn’t see him. “Okay, I got it.”

Lilly felt a warm rush in her chest. She tightened her arms around his neck, pressing a soft kiss to his throat and then up to his ear.

Jace swallowed hard, his voice dropping to a warning. “Lilly...”

Tiffany kept talking. “When you drop her off, make sure nobody sees. You can’t let anyone find out Lilly spent the night here. Her reputation matters, you know. You two aren’t married yet, so you need to be careful.”

“I know, Mom. You should get some sleep.”

Tiffany finally left, her footsteps fading away.

Jace threw the blanket off, his eyes locking on Lilly with a look that sent a shiver through her. In one quick move, he flipped her onto her back, pinning her beneath him.

“Lilly, you started this,” he whispered, his voice full of promise.
