The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 599

Jace pressed his lips together, then gently pushed Brandon’s hand away. “Sir, maybe I should go home.”

He turned, ready to go.

Lilian froze for a second, her voice urgent. “Jace!”

Brandon stepped in front of him. “Jace, you know you’ve been drugged. Why are you still trying to leave? I already had someone arrange a hotel room for you and Lilian.”

Jace shook his head. “That’s not necessary.”

Lilian’s face went pale, her confidence crumbling. She was beautiful, her body turning heads wherever she went, and there were guys lined up for miles just hoping she’d look their way. But somehow, she’d fallen for Jace, a guy with nothing to his name.

She couldn’t understand it. She’d put herself out there, completely vulnerable, and he was still saying no. He should be counting himself lucky.

Brandon eyed Jace carefully. “What’s going on, Jace? Aren’t you dating my daughter? She’s your girlfriend, and we’re already talking about your wedding. Tonight is just getting a head start. Why are you making such a big deal about it?”

“Dad, no. Jace is really good to me,” Lilian jumped in, trying to smooth things over.

Jace glanced at Lilian, then reached out for her hand. “Brandon, that’s not what I meant.”

Brandon’s expression softened. “Good. I really value you, Jace. Honestly, I already see you as part of the family. Listen, in a few days, someone very important is coming to Rockford Bay. No one knows his plans, but I’m telling you now because I trust you. If you and Lilian are really together, I’ll take you to meet him when he arrives.”

Jace’s heart skipped a beat. This was what he’d been waiting for, what he’d been planning for all along.

Brandon closed the door, and the luxury car sped away.

It didn’t take long before Jace and Lilian arrived at the presidential suite of a six-star hotel. Several of Brandon’s men, all in black suits, waited outside the door.

One of them stepped forward, holding the door open for them. “Jace, Miss Lilian, please head inside. We’ll be here all night, making sure no one bothers you.”

Lilian’s cheeks were bright pink as she slipped into the room with Jace and closed the door behind them.

Now it was just the two of them. Lilian moved closer, wrapping her arms around Jace from behind.

His body was burning hot, like he was on fire inside. That raw, masculine energy filled the room, making it hard to breathe. Lilian’s hands found their way to his chest, tracing over his muscles, hungry for more…
