The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 887

They barely made it to the bed before things heated up. Jason slipped off his bathrobe, and Lilly’s hands ran over the hard planes of his body. “Wait, we don’t have any protection.”

Jason pressed his lips to hers. “Let’s skip it.”

Lilly gave a little laugh. “Alright.”

She let herself get lost in the moment. Tonight was theirs.

They were both young, and that night, their love felt wild and endless. It was all heat and laughter, tangled sheets and whispered promises, the kind of night that only ends when the sun starts creeping over the horizon.

Afterward, Jason pulled Lilly into his arms. She was covered in a sheen of sweat, her hair sticking to her face in loose, messy strands.

He reached up and gently brushed her hair away. “Are you tired?”

Lilly nestled closer, listening to the steady thump of his heartbeat. That sound made her feel safe in a way nothing else could.

She kept her eyes closed. “So tired.”

She was so worn out she couldn’t even open her eyes.

Jason kissed her forehead. “Lilly, do you want to stay here for a few days before we head home? It’s our first time in Tibet. I’d love to show you around.”

They’d known each other for ages, but this was the first time they’d really done something just for themselves. No responsibilities, no pressure. Just the two of them.

Lilly didn’t open her eyes. “I’m too tired. I just want to go home.”

Jason laughed softly. “Alright. We’ll head back in the morning.”

“Okay,” she murmured, barely awake.

Then Jason said, “Lilly, let’s get married when we get back.”

Get married?

“Lilly, will you marry me? I want to hear you say it.”

Any other time, she would have said yes in a heartbeat.

She wanted to say yes.

But now, with the Snow Lotus in Jill’s hands, she couldn’t help remembering Jill’s words. The one who loves more always loses.

Lilly looked at Jason, and suddenly tears spilled down her cheeks. She choked out, “Yes, Jason. I’ll marry you.”

She had said yes.

Jason hugged her tight, like he never wanted to let her go. “Lilly, we’re really getting married. As soon as we get back, it’s happening.”

Lilly wrapped her arms around him and thought, Jason, let’s just make tonight last a little longer. Let it be a dream we don’t have to wake up from.
