The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 895

Jason called out after her, but Lilly didn’t turn around.

A moment later, everything went black for him, and he collapsed. The sound of his body hitting the floor echoed through the hallway. Lilly spun around, heart dropping. “Jason!”

She started to run to him, but someone stepped into her path. Jill. She rushed to Jason’s side, dropping to her knees. “Jason? Jason!”

Lilly froze. She remembered the deal she had made with Jill. If she left Jason, Jill would hand over the Himalayan Snow Lotus.

Kent came running down the corridor, panic in his voice. “Sir! Doctor, hurry!”

Kent and a doctor rushed over, barely managing to get Jason up and carry him into his hospital room.

Jill stood and walked over to Lilly. “Hey, Lilly. I’ve been waiting to hear from you. You broke up with Jason, right?”

Lilly nodded, her voice quiet. “It’s over.”

Jill’s lips curled into a satisfied smile. “Good.”

“Can you give me the Himalayan Snow Lotus now?” Lilly asked.

“Of course. I’ll give it to Jason myself. So you don’t need to be here anymore. From now on, Jason’s life has nothing to do with you.”

It was clear dismissal.

Lilly hesitated, her voice trembling. “You’ll take good care of him, right?”

Jill nodded. “Of course. Go on, Lilly. Next time you see Jason, he’ll be completely healed. And you two will really be over.”

Jason would recover. But she and Jason were finished.

Lilly’s hands curled into fists at her sides. “Alright.”

“I made you some soup. It’ll help. Let me get you a bowl.”

May hurried into the kitchen and returned with a steaming bowl, gently pressing it into Lilly’s hands. "Get some of this down you while it’s still warm, honey."

Lilly took the bowl, but a sudden wave of nausea hit her. Her face twisted in discomfort. She doubled over, retching.

The sickness rose up from her stomach, and she gagged, clutching her chest. She doubled over, coughing until her throat burned with bile, her body trembling from the sheer force of her suppressed grief.

May rushed to her side, rubbing her back. “Lilly, what’s wrong? Why are you throwing up all of a sudden?”

A chilling realization washed over her, freezing the blood in her veins. She was a month late.

Could it be? Was she pregnant?
