Gloom and Thunder-Part 3
*Austin***
I sadly did not see Ella come down for dinner and I wondered whether she was purposefully
waiting for me to leave the hall before she ate.
After dinner I went to the sports hall with Ollie and a few other pack members for some basketball
I was still in shock at my conversation with Freya. I had my epiphany while we were talking and now it seemed so obvious I was amazed I hadn’t put things together sooner.
Upon my realisation I was now acutely aware of it; brought to the forefront of my mind as if it was front-page news. As if we were part of some grand plan we had been drawn to each other, at times literally colliding. Nature was doing what it did best; it was trying to bring us together. The fact I had been doing Ollie’s patrol last minute when she’d encountered the rogues by the river, the disappearing tree root that had tripped her up, delivering some paperwork to a science teacher and colliding with her down a corridor I rarely ever went down, the librarian sending me down the exact aisle she was hidden down in the library for a book that wasn’t even there… Freya randomly lying about us dating even though she had actively warned Ella from doing just that. Ella turning up on my early morning run the very next morning which allowed me to privately ask her out. Was I reading into things too much or what?
Atlas am I going crazy? I ask him as I down for a quick drink while the game continues.
No you’re not going crazy. Unlike with Ava I am actually in agreement with you on this occasion, Atlas
informs me.
Crazy. Okay well this is nuts. So we both think Ella is our mate. But we don’t even know what she
is…what now? I ask.
More waiting and patience I’m afraid. She needs to come to the same conclusion on her own, Atlas
sighs, and we still have our own agenda and responsibilities, I must remind you.
Did YOU know before me? Before today? I ask curiously.
The fact you’ve been blindly pursuing a girl who isn’t Lycan and appears to be human when all you’ve
wanted was to find your future Luna? No I had no idea, Atlas says sarcastically with a chuckle.
