15 minutes later, Tony took off all the glass cups stuck to Otto.
Frowning, Otto turned his head and spotted the bruises on his shoulder. "I've got inflammation, but you didn't give me any medicine. How's this supposed to help?"
Tony nonchalantly asked, "Does your shoulder still hurt?"
Otto was taken aback. He'd been so focused on the dark purple circles on his shoulder that he didn't check if it still hurt.
He flexed his arm and loosened his shoulder.
What? Was the pain gone? Otto couldn't help but exclaim, "How's that possible? Why doesn't it hurt? I didn't take any anti-inflammatory medicine."
Tony coldly remarked, "You fool! That's because I cured you. Did you expect it to heal on its own?"
Otto's expression turned embarrassed from the insult.
Shoulder arthritis wouldn't heal on its own, but how could putting a few glass cups on his shoulder actually work? What was going on? Was this really traditional medicine? It was too magical.
Tony sternly asked, "So, does traditional medicine work now?"
Otto's expression darkened, wishing he could just disappear from the embarrassment. He stubbornly responded, "Maybe this is just a coincidence. It's just a fluke. This doesn't prove traditional medicine works."
Tony was about to say something when Renae stepped forward. "Your shoulder arthritis flared up earlier, triggering your old migraine issue."
Otto was shocked. "H-How do you know that?"
Renae didn't respond but started talking about the treatment instead. "With acupuncture and bloodletting, I promise you'll feel better after three needles."
