Matthew wanted to shake off Trafford's grip as he was pulled outside but decided against it.
Since Trafford didn't even ask why he was getting a banner, Matthew wasn't going to stop him from gathering more people. The more people he brought in, the more embarrassing it'd get for him.
Matthew saw Pierre was about to say something, so he hinted at Pierre to zip his mouth. The latter seemed to have guessed his intention and stayed silent.
With a grin, Trafford pulled Matthew into the lobby and cheerfully said, "Sorry to keep you waiting for a few minutes. Just hang tight, and I'll call a few colleagues over."
Matthew nodded. "No problem. I'll wait here."
Trafford stepped aside and called out to a nurse passing by. "Can you grab a few people for me, Gable?"
When Gable saw it was Trafford, he dared not turn Trafford down. "Do you I'm enough?"
Smiling, Trafford replied, "One person doesn't make it special enough. One of my patients who recovered came to personally thank me with a banner.
"I think this is a perfect opportunity for a video to boost the hospital's image and mine. Gather a few coworkers—the more the merrier.
"Also, check if the higher-ups are free. If they are available, get them here as well."
Gable didn't expect it. No one had given a banner for the last three years. He cheerfully responded, "Okay. I'll go get more people here."
With that, Gable turned around and ran off.
Trafford turned to Matthew. "Just hang on for a second. Sorry for taking up a few more minutes of your time. I'll treat you to a meal. Pick any restaurant in Lambda City."
Matthew chuckled and replied, "You're too generous. I took a day off to bring you the banner. You don't need to treat me for lunch."
Trafford pulled out his phone. "I'll book a table at the Stardust Hotel now. Let's have a drink together at lunch to celebrate and get to know each other."
"Besides that, the staff of the marketing department has been notified already. They are setting things up for the livestream. They'll be here soon."
Upon hearing that, Trafford became more thrilled. He constantly fixed his clothes like he was about to go on stage.
Matthew beamed even brighter. He had to hand it to Trafford for really digging his own grave.
If Trafford cared about his patients, he'd have asked about Matthew's illness and Matthew's current situation. That would give it away, but he didn't ask a thing about it.
Trafford couldn't care less if Matthew had fully recovered. He was only thinking about photos and publicity, so he totally deserved to make a fool out of himself.
Soon after, the higher-ups of the hospital arrived, donning white coats and name tags. Everyone smiled and congratulated Trafford. The marketing also set up phone stands and started broadcasting live.
After a brief conversation, the banner presentation ceremony officially started.
